Which is better? Slow or 10k

Hi All,

I have this site which I have just finished building today. It's a simple adsense website and I just want to drive a bit of traffic to it.

I'm thinking of purchasing one of the back linking services in this forum with 10k back links but I did a bit more reading.

Some say that building back links slowly is a better way of back linking because it looks more natural, so does that mean that these 10k back link services bad?

Or is there very little difference?

Does the 10k back links do the job anyway?

I'm thinking of purchasing the 10k back links offer and it does have some really good testimonials. I am just doing a bit of research before jumping in to anything.

Looking forward to your replies

  • I've seen better results if you build slowly.

But it wont hurt you in any if you get 10k links.

    • Hey,

What do you mean in terms of better results? More traffic? Higher SE rank?

      Thanks

  • If it looks like Spam, and smells like Spam, then-in reality-what is it that you will be paying money for? :p

    • How long did it take you to start getting decent traffic with the quick linking way? and how much traffic was coming in daily? What spot was your website sitting in search engines?

My keyword has very little competition 1mil. "kitchen remodeling idea"

Yeah it does sound spammy, but the reviews seems to be really good for such service. Have a look at the thread here.

    • For ham?
      ...
    • That doesn't make sense.

Having Oprah mention your site would get you a LOT of links and traffic - is that spam?

      Lots of links isn't bad.

    • Thanks Danny.

What about building a small amount a day say.. 100? Is that too much?
  • Who is to say its too much?

There are no hard fast rules... you may build 100 a day but google may only crawl 10 of them today and 10 tomorrow... so those link wont show up all 100 in one day.

I see it that a human can manually build 10 links an hour say and if they worked full time thats 8 hours a day thats 80 links... I try and keep it natural.

I use to use bots and software to create links the best way is just to find someone that will work for little money to do it manually.

But thats only my opinion... :-)

One thing though... if the site is established ie more than a year old getting 10K links might be goood.... but a new site getting 10K links can only look spammy :-)

    • I usually post my back links slowly. This gives them time to optimize in search engines such as Google and Yahoo.

For ex. I am big in the Landscaping Niche in my city. I've managed to build a few websites, but one blog I've produced almost 40 posts on. I've been able to back link some of these posts together, but never down the same path. I never back link the same link twice.

I've even gone as far as stepping out of boundaries and back linking a few ads thats a posted from Craigslist or Backpage back to my blog.
  • What service are we looking at? is it that makebacklinks service?

    Danny
  • Its best to do link building manually. For proper SEO you have to have quality links (meaning your links should be on sites closely related to your site). For example if you are selling perfume and you link your site to a car site, then this is not a quality link. By doing the link building manually you can be sure of where your links will be.
  • Good point, IMO, mgpweb.

Your personal standards make a huge difference for the rest of your life.

    FYI:
Here is an article from Techcrunch...
Social Today Feels Like Search A Decade Ago: Lots Of Noise And Lots Of Spam*
...which backs up and matches my opinions re: 'spammy-type' mass link building and other garbage on today's web.

      Hi Colin,

While I totally agree with your clause...
      OK

...I was referring to whether or not it worked.
The perception of working fuels "Spam-mania", but is 'working' defined as short, medium, or long-term?

...Other than anything else, that is another Warrior's WSO, and discrediting it without buying it first could get you the size 15 in the read LOL...

      1) I did try to avoid bashing...
...avoid bashing another members offer and still have an honest discussion about the topic.

      2) ...could get you the size 15 in the read LOL...

I'm not sure what you are saying...
      • Are you implying I could get banned from this forum for honestly saying "Spam is garbage and there is way too much of it on the net?"

      3) I'll stand by this content here:
      @TechCrunch

....Hence I stuck to its effectiveness and not its morality...
I understand, Happy New Year to you.
  • Why dont you just buy some hours from someone...I have outsourcers working for $3 an hour cant get much more natural than that.... will be more expensive but the site will have better foundations and you dont risk getting flagged :-)

    • Where do you outsource it from?
  • odesk :-) :-) :-)
  • I would suggest a consistent link-building structure, regardless of what your numbers are. Consistent content and consistent link-building are two crucial strategies when it comes to SEO.
