My income for Adsense seems to be only half what it normally is. Not sure if it is just me.

Yes I would agree with that. There's been lots in the press about declining online ad spend, I guess this will filter through to any Adsense earnings as time goes on.

Yea. I have an Adwords campaign running that was doing well and it's drying up. The ratio between clicks and impressions is about the same but in the end there are less impressions and less clicks and the clicks just aren't converting. For me this seems to have started two weeks ago. Sucks big time.

If you want to see why, go look at your PPC campaigns. My impressions have fallen through the floor. Percentages (CTR, conversions) are holding but some of my campaigns are down in impressions over 50%. That applies to sales to =8~(.

Are people not searching in Google anymore? This has got to be killing their revenue since they don't make any money without clicks.

My website traffic is down too. Not as much, maybe 20%.

Like the man above said, just keep on working. It will turn around but it may be a while.

I know that the high dollar numbers on adwords have dropped considerable, and the number of bidders too. One of my clients is in a high price arena and it's down by at least 30%.

I've went from $110/day to about $85/day....without any explanation!!!...

I may be new to this forum, but i'm not new to internet marketing!!, Honestly...Adsense is reliable, but you have to work your butt off for it!

O.K. I'll be a contrarian. I am only in Adwords, but I am feeling the Christmas cheer already! It feels like a tsunami building up. Things are building up very nicely.

Fortunately for me, one of my best AdSense sites is about an MLM product...it is doing very well; I think because people are trying to supplement their income more.

Are you still getting the same amount of traffic though? With certain niches, traffic will slow down at certain times. (And don't forget it's Thanksgiving in the U.S.)

I'm in the weight loss niche and revenue starts heading downhill from October to December. But my eCPM is about 35% higher than it was this time last year. So, no, I'm not seeing a drop in income in terms of less advertisers.

I am in the parenting niche and am seeing some drop in adsense earnings as well as affiliate sales. It was doing great last month (Oct) but this month somehow slowing down. The funny truth is that traffic seems to be going up. But unfortunately, did not get translated to more sales.

I'm down substantially this week. For the last 8-10 days, my CTR is about 1/2 what it has averaged for the last 6 months. My theories:
1 - The restricted ad budgets are causing fewer companies to fund Adwords campaigns. This means fewer pros are writing ads, leading to less compelling headlines and a poorer CTR.
Much of my Adsense income comes from the financial sector. This is probably harder hit than other sectors due to the recent Economic problems.

2 - It seems my traffic has shifted and some of the pages that were monitizing well, with high CTRs, are receiving less traffic. Other pages seems to be ranking well and receiving better traffic, because my average impression count is only down about 8 - 10% on some days, others it's about the same. That means the lower CTR pages are simply getting more visitors now than the higher CTR pages.

I'll delve into this more deeply soon. I just wanted to eat turkey, pumpkin pie, and cheesecake tomorrow and watch some football, but maybe I'll have to actually work.

I am not seeing any significant differences, but it could be that my Adsense earnings have been well and truely hammered a long time ago. From what I gather in e-commerce forums, the merchants were saying that they kept that PPC spending up in Sep and Oct. However, their conversion rate was well down and therefore they intend to cut their budget. However since this is getting near the Christmas shopping season, many are reluctant to cut their budget too much. Therefore the real test will probably come early next year as far as physical products are concerned.

Mine hasn't been declining but it has been staying the same, whereas before it was easier to keep increasing the amount I earn. It seems that right now I have to add twice as much content to get ahead as I was doing before.

It's not really reliable as passive income anymore. You have to keep adding content to maintain the same income, if this trend continues.

This week it's been up a bit, because of some seasonal Christmas content. So I'm planning ahead and adding content for Valentines, St. Patrick's Day, etc. I get nice holiday spikes.

      Hi folks,

I think what we are seeing are the results of America embracing socialism. It's got the the capitalists running for the hills. Many folks are looking to get their wealth out of this country while they still can.

Those that are trying to rescue their net worth believe that they only have till the end of this year and to legally avoid confiscation. They may have to smuggle it out after the new administration takes control.

This is obviously affecting advertising revenue and business in general. We may have better luck targeting traffic outside the USA in the coming year.
