AdSense payment by check question

So back on 12/28/2010 I got an email from AdSense, telling me that my check had been issued. This is my first.

So here it is 1/5/2011, and I still don't have any check.

I go to my AdSense account and that tells me that the payment was made 12/23/2010. More than enough time for a check to be delivered about 700 miles away.

So my question is, has anyone else received their payment that is getting it by check? Any advice if my check got lost in the Christmas mail? Or am I just too impatient?

Outside of US can take 2-4 weeks.

I got that same email, same day, but had got direct deposit on the 24th.

Well at least I am not the only one still waiting. It kind of sucks that it takes the USPS so long to deliver a letter. And they want these people to take care of our health care too. What a joke.

I have direct deposit - and my adsense went in the bank several days earlier than usual this time. If you are in the US (don't know about other places), direct deposit works great.

Not sure why they are still issuing cheques in the USA ( if at all), I'm in Europe and have been getting mine via Bank Transfer for several years. It must cost them a fortune issuing cheques.

My understanding is that you must have received two checks in order to switch to direct deposit. Otherwise I would not have let them send me a check. This is ridiculous, over two weeks for an envelope to reach me. I could have walked that far in this time, and I am a broke down old man with a walking stick. Sure would be nice to have my almost $1,200 after all this hard work to earn it.

We had to move all of our Adsense account to EFT. Much easier when you travel allot.

When we get paid via EFT the money is always in your account between the 24th and 28th each month - never missed a payment, but they have mixed up currency conversion a few times. They fix that within 14 days always.

Those who are waiting...........don't worry. They ALWAYS pay in full ;-)

    Tim:

    Just do direct deposit.

Mine really did take a month when paper.

For Christmas....they paid early by EFT which was so cool.

Unless I am mistaken, I have to receive two paper checks before I can do a direct deposit or EFT, so I am stuck being as this was my first ever payment. I still have to get another one before I can change it over. And being as I sold that site that made all the money, I don't expect another one any time soon.

    I can't believe this.

I have a bunch of junk mail sitting on my desk that I have not opened. Some of it has been sitting there for a week or more. I should have thrown it away as it was just crap I wasn't interested in.

I decided to open one of them as it was a oversized envelop and I was not sure what it was. It only had a Buffalo PO Box as an address and no company. So when I opened it, there was my AdSense check. Now I am wondering just how long this damn check has been sitting on my desk. What a dip ****e I am. Oh well, at least I got it now.

Looking back, I don't think I ever got a single check. Just signed up for
direct deposit. I can never remember cashing a check.

Don't believe a date as the date it was actually put in the mail. That could be
      a week or more later.
