How to get traffic via Video Marketing (YouTube)

I run a small web development/design company in the Tampa, FL USA region.

I hear that videos are a great way to get leads and traffic.

I am a little confused on how this works and what type of videos to create in order to get solid leads.

For example, do I make videos showing people how to build their own websites or do I make videos letting them know how important it is to have a professionally designed site?

A little help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried doing a Google search for YouTube marketing software, or do a search on Google for "Traffic Geyser" ?

Give them anything that will get them hooked and want to visit your site. For example show them a little snippet of what you can offer them (whether it's a snippet from your course or whatever) and then finish off with 'the learn more, visit .....'.

Generally a combination of factors go into video marketing.

The basic concept, have a video that people will watch, include a link to your site in video.

This does not take into account quality or content. The more quality and "qualified" your video is, the more likely you will get the traffic you want.

Just browse Youtube and search for similar keywords as you would expect someone looking for your business might. See what comes up. Then decide if you can make a better video.

Videos that train are popular, as are ones that are funny, or offer something of interest.

I would test a few things.

See what gets a better response. How-to stuff, or discussing how important pro web design is.

Pick the ones that perform better and make more of those.

Even making "did you know videos" helps. It establishes you as the expert.

IE: Did you know that if you properly SEO just ONE of your pages your traffic would grow exponentially? Here's why.... blah, blah.

Being a web development company you need build trust. Aim for that and you are golden.

The videos don't need to be super complex, or really long. The point is to hit home that you are the most trustworthy person they can find.

Also, make sure that your videos are all properly optimized with keywords you are wanting to be found by.

Make a video teaching people how to build websites. Make the videos very informative but at the same time making people to want to learn more. That would make them to want to visit your website and even contact you personally.

agree that informative is good, but also put a spin on it -

there's too many videos which are just screen capture out there, give people something different, do it reality style, film yourself rocking up at a business and do a pimp my site video, get them to show you their site (which will be bad), have a laugh about it, offer tips fix it and then show the results at the end (the pimped site)

this could become a cult series like "will it blend"!

After you have your videos on youtube it is also very important you take the best measures to get maximum exposure for your videos -

there are ways to have you youtube videos land on the first page of google aswell as in the internal youtube searches -

As with all communites you will get a much better account/channel if you play an active role -

so comment on videos, subscribe to other channels, add friends and comment on other channels -

many of these areas also allow do followed links back to your channel - My channel on youtube is a page rank 5 - i have a number of videos on the first page of google aswell as youtube itself -

I dont want to advertise my own products - but I really believe that this product will be of value - do a search for youtubeuncovered.com and take a look to see what you think - Its being enjoyed by hundreds of users and its just a automation tool to do what you need to do in order to benefit and leaverage youtube to your advantage

thanks and really sorry for the link
