Hi folks,

This is my first post so apologies if this isn't the right place for it!

So I've taken the plunge and bought MS. I'm getting to grips with it but could someone clarify what the AWT column means on the keyword research page? I understand it to show the number of clicks that an advertiser may expect to get in a single day...is that correct?

If so does it have any relation to SEOV? For example one of my keywords has a CPC of £1 and and an SEOV of £300. Which is SEOT*AWCPC. The AWT though is only 1. Which suggests the keyword isn't very commercial. So my confusion is the SEOV is pretty good (I think!) but the AWT is poor and seems to contradict the SEOV.

Any help much appreciated,
Paul.

AWT is the estimated number of clicks you will get, its based on CTR and Traffic for that keyword. I frankly take most of those values with a grain of sand, I just use them as guidelines, but you can't make decisions just based on them. Especially CTR since the keyword tool gets a little antsy for some singular, plural, and other variations of many keyterms.

    Welcome Paul.
Good choice joining this forum - I've learnt a bunch here!

So..you'd get 300 visits a day if you were at the top of Google for that term. At £1 for teh KW on Adwords then the keyword has some market value (ie you should be able to monetise the site some way)
Top tip a la Viz - if the SEO competition indicates mostly green on that niche, it could be worth persuing... you're looking for good traffic/ low competition in a buyer space. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I'm not really sure they answered my question but I'll give them some thought and try to work out if I'm even asking the right thing!
