Best Way To SEO My Individual Articles and Get Them Climbing The Google Charts?

Hi All,

I am very active in 2 great niches at the moment and have made sales after a week of getting into them (thanks Jeremy and Don!). I've done the posting articles to EZA, then to the other usual Directories; have lenses and hubs set up and have started some serious backlinking to my relevant blogs (thanks Angela!)

I have checked the big G and can't find a trace of any of my articles in the first 15 pages for any of the longtails i'm using?

I really want to start pushing those articles, some of which have several hundred views each on EZA, up the charts so to speak but am unsure how to procede. I have done nothing else to the articles in question other than take my EZA RSS feed and place it on my lens and blog.

Any relevant advice would be welcome and greatly appreciated.

Best,

Michael

BTW - i have been active in one of the niches for about 2-3 weeks; the other 1-2 weeks

You can write more short articles and link to the articles you really want to rank well, using the correct anchor text.

Also try social bookmarking and forum marketing for your best articles.

        Hi Michael

        What Jessica means (I think!)

is that the actual text you use to link to the articles should be a keyword phrase.

So if you are into tattoo's then your linking phrase might be "anchor tattoos"

Clicking on these words goes to your article about anchor tattoos

the words in the text are important. using "Click here" is useless -- unless you have lots of information about your stock of Clickheres

You'll need to get a few backlinks pointing to your articles. You might want to start by using Digg.om and Propeller.com and submit your articles there.

Do you mean that if your article is in EZA's directory, that you use that url to get get your backlinks from higher authority sites?

If you want to get ranked for the keywords how to draw a tattoo then use that phrase as the anchor text link instead of your website's url www.tattoowebsite.com or the Ezinearticle url.

I'm doing it above in this post so you could see what I mean.

Basically link to the Ezinearticle using the keyword phrase that you want to rank for as the anchor text instead of something like "click here" or just the url of the article.

Digg and propeller won't let you link to ezinearticles articles and I am wondering about this too. If you submit 5 articles a day to ezinarticles it gets complicated figuring out best backlinking strategy to boost them up. There's another thread where a few people wrote they do better to boost up their goarticles. I'd love some advice on this question too.

I've tried bookmarking my clients' articles to huge bookmarking sites like digg, propeller, and other pligg based sites like rambhai just won't accept articles in their repository.

However there are still other bookmarking sites, especially phpdug based sites allow articles bookmarking.

Doing social bookmarking to articles is the easiest and fastest way to give backlinks to them.

You can increase the rankings of your submitted articles to Ezinearticles.com by linking back to them from a variety of different sources. They include:

    1 - Other directories
    2 - Yahoo Answers
    3 - Squidoo Lenses
    4 - Hubpages
    5 - Wordpress Blogs
    6 - Blogger Blogs
7 - Forum Signatures (not allowed in some forums)
    8 - Submitted Video Articles
9 - In your emails to your list

these methods will boost your article standings and most importantly the views to your articles which will then have them rank as one of the most viewed within the last 90 days on Ezinearticles.com which will also significantly help your submitted article's rankings.

    Respectfully,
    Tim

Tim I do similar except I use the Ezine Article and all the other excellent resources you mentioned to Link back to my own domain with landing pages. There is lot less leakage on my site than EZA.

I do the same thing, but often I find that it's much easier to get an EZA article to rank than a page from a new site of mine. So, even with the leakage, it's often worthwhile to try to get the EZA article ranked higher.

I don't have any trouble driving a Wordpress blog into the top of Google for the same keywords, especially if you have the 'backup' links and videos etc...

I think Kevin, Jessica,TimG and kenj all are right you should focus on keyword phrase i.e actual text you use to link to the articles
