Adsense ad format

It would be wonderful if somebody could share a tip on the selection of ad format and where to put.

  • use a 336x280 above the fold above your content

    I also like using the 336X280 size and I find that I get a lot of clicks if I place it right after the title or heading. I don't wrap it there. But if I include it within the paragraph i do. Of course the best thing to do is try it and see which format works best for your particular audience--afterall, it doesn't cost anything to try different ones.

    • like everyone is saying , 336 Big square blog gives most of the conversion, however do optimize it with the rest of the theme , like color n everything ..

  • Any of the rectangles can be lucrative, especially if you wrap them into the content. Also blend the border (same color as the page background).

    Also keep your pages simple if your primary goal is to get people to notice your ads. Lots of graphics, menu items, etc. will distract the eye.

    • My two favorite ad formats are 160 x 600 and 125 x 125.

      160 x 160 is the most popular ad format because it fits snugly in most web site designs and offers a good ad rotation ratio. You can use it in your sidebar.

      125 x 125 Adsense format is the perfect choice for content placement. Its size makes it the ideal partner for middle content placement, wrapped around other site content to attract the users eye. With a poor ad rotation policy it is the best choice for established sites or publishers with a good eye for weeding out MFA sites using their competitive filter list.

  • lol! As you can see, ask 10 different people and u get 10 different replies. The best thing is to try several different formats for yourself with some type of adsense tracking code that will tell you how many clicks you're getting on each format. That's how I could tell which formats were working the best in my situation. Good luck.

    • That's just it about anything that has anything to do with Adsense,
      it's all a personal choice.

      From ad placement to navigation, from content type to site set-up,
      from niche selection to marketing...

      There is no one-size fits all.

      Any advice I give people works for me, but it may not work for them.

      The reason being is that there is more than just steps 1,2,3.

      There is manifestation, faith in what you are doing, and just plain
      feeling good in the gut about your investment of time and work into
      content sites for adsense (which comes from years of trial and error).

  • actually it depends where you gonna put your adsense. but mostly i try to use the 336 x 280

    • If your theme suit 336 x 280, use it.

      Actually, I am doing lots of research about how to increase PPC ad revenue. As what I discover, there are many facts which determine how much click you get.

      1. Do not put ads at the bottom. Try put put at place which visitors can see without scrolling.
      2. Use colour which suits your theme.
      3. Place ads between posts. Most of my click come from here :rolleyes:
      4. Try to make your ads look like a link. I always use white background (because my template is white bg too), black text and no bolder (white). This will makes my ads look like links and sometime people will not realize that's your ads because adsense display ads by tracking your keywords.
