Creating Mobile Site, Need Advice!

Fellow Warriors,

I'm currently throwing out ideas for starting a more "mobile friendly" website to accompany my flash website that isn't so "mobile friendly". I've ran into a few dilemmas:

Choosing a domain name? (mobile.yoursite.com or yoursitemobile.com?)
Should I focus on particular SEO technique for it? (I don't mobile site to out-rank original site)
Are qR codes worth the hype?

Design and everything should come easy, just worried about the above.

If you are planning on using qr codes to promote the mobile site then I would say they are definitely worth the hype, and there are plenty of free qr code generators out there. Qr codes are most effective in offline marketing but you can use them online. I would even put a qr code on your flash website so people can just scan the code to get to your mobile site.
