ScrapeBox users please help

I bought ScrapeBox a couple of days ago. At $2+/- each, I don't have the money to fund 200 or more proxies per day, so I have to use ScrapeBox to harvest the proxies I will need to use. I can't seem to find any information telling me how to harvest these proxies. Anyone has any advice?

Where did you learn how to use ScrapeBox? The documentation seems to be pretty lacking with the software. I found some videos by a Frankie, but they are pretty hard for me to follow. But they don't tell me how to harvest proxies.

Please help so I can get started on my back linking.

  • Thank you Scott. Very much appreciated.

Edit: I had problems with the link, it seems broken for some reason. I tried to find the thread over at BHW but wasn't able to. Can you just poste it in as a regular link? Thanks.

  • Go to ScrapeBox Tuts
these are great tuts for SEO.. plus you can find basic level videos on youtube!!

and as far as the proxies are concerned! You just need to click on "manage proxies" at the bottom left... then click on "harvest proxies" again on the bottom left in the new window and finally click on start and test the proxies!!

and its better to buy private proxies!!

    Hope this helps!
    Shiva!!

    • How does anyone afford $200 a day for proxies, especially when they are starting out and don't have a lot of money? If I was making $500 a day, I could see it, but right now I don't have any income other than my disability check. I did get a few dollars from AdSense and from selling my site, but my wife has managed to sped much of that for us.

  • No offence, but I can tell that you bought SB without having any idea of how it works or how you might properly use it to your advantage.

I have no idea where you're getting your figures, but there's absolutely no way you're going to need to spend $200/day on proxies to use ScrapeBox. Even if you were using it solely to spam (and I would not condone that at all) I can't imagine a possible scenario where you could burn through $200/day in proxies. To use ScrapeBox in a whitehat way, you don't need any private proxies at all; however, you will need some scraped/public proxies, as Google/Yahoo/AOL/Bing quickly block access if you try to send automated (scraping) requests.

For the record, I don't use any paid proxies at all. I will tell you right now that if you plan on spamming, the publicly available proxies (that you will get through scraping) are most likely abused and blacklisted by 1000 others before you'll get a chance to touch them.

Watch those videos posted by scott g, and look up some more on Youtube. There are a bunch of helpful ones.
  • Matt,

You are right, I know nothing about ScrapeBox, other than all the good reviews I have read. I bought it because it was so highly recommended, and I could use it to get lots of back links done for my site building plans.

As far as SPAMing goes, I intend to be respectful of site owners. But I wish to do enough back linking to get my sites on the first page. I don't expect that to happen over night. But that is my plan.

  • best thing to do is going to you tube and do some video watching and pushing some scrapebox buttons
  • I did a short video on youtube showing how I find SMF forums for making my own forum packet lists using Scrapebox. It's OK but I do tend to mumble a bit, but anyway it may help soemone out.

  • I have a programmer who is almost ready to release a new product that will give you 100+ fresh level 1 proxies everyday for a one time payment of $29.95 He will be giving away a few for free before offering it as a WSO. If you are interested in being a beta tester PM me.

    Cheers,

Cool. Whereabouts do I look for the ones you post? Thanks a lot for sharing that with all of us and for the work of posting them daily!

  • There are plenty of free proxies out there you can use scrapebox to find. Also for a great tutorial - check out Pat Jackson's Scrapebox training wso. Do a search for his name and you'll find it.

    • is scrapebox white hat or black hat?

      Just planning to buy...
  • It depends what you do with it. It has a blog spamming tool built into it, which is more or less the only "black-hat" thing you can do with it. I guess there's also the email address scraper, which you could use to spam people with: also a BH tactic. Most of the other uses of ScrapeBox make it a tool that is much faster & quicker to gather and compile a lot of information, or in a lot of cases, information that is just not feasible to compile by hand.

What kind of information? For example, you can quickly get a list of every page on a website, or to gather a list of every backlink a competitor has. You can scrape a list of blogs, and then check and sort them by PR for manual commenting (not spamming). You can use it to quickly go through a list of your backlinks and check if they're still valid or if they're deleted/removed. There are a ton of other things that you can do with it. There's probably a ton of things that people do with it that I haven't even thought of it.

It's not something that is going to magically get you backlinks with the bush of a button, but you can find your own ways to get them by using it.
