Hey warriors I'm after a little advice on where you personally start with regards your site back linking efforts? What is your process when it comes to this task in hand?
Do you use a certain software/program or stick with hiring or the old fashioned manual way

Thanks

    I do three things . . .

    1. Outsource on Fiverr
    2. Use Bookmark Wiz to build backlinks/bookmarks
    3. Use Rapid Website Indexer to index links and also add more backlinks (its free)

The first thing I do is use the indexing software for the main url, then for each page and also each new post I add. I then repeat the process using Bookmark Wiz (main url, then each page) I then take these bookmarks and run them through the indexing software to add more links and get them noticed by google.

I use fiverr to outsource directory submissions, social bookmarking, edu backlinks, and others. . . Try to avoid the gigs that say "5000 backlinks . . ." I've also had some success with link wheel creation outsourced on fiverr.

I've also used pad files and paid a Fiverr for them to submit to 1000 directories, of which about 300 submissions stuck. This helped generate lots of backlinks and the site I used it on has more backlinks then any of my sites, usually mostly just the pad file submission technique.

Oh, and I almost forgot the obvious one . . . Article marketing (mostly EZA)

    Hope some of this helps

    1. I use article marketing as well as my own blog network that I submit articles to.
    2. Hubpages and Squidoo I also use from time to time.
    3. Blog commenting

These are the main three methods I've used. I've used a backlinking service a couple of times but found that I really didn't get many indexed links from them.

Forum backlinks can serve as a backbone to you site . I always prefer forum posting to get the backlinks for my sites .
Using softwares for building backlinks for a site which you use for your business purpose is like you are slapping your self . Google when gets to it that all the posts are same will mark your site as spam and will through it to the trash .

I'm still a bit new to all of this but I use article marketing, blog commenting, directory submission and a small amount of social bookmarking.

For quality articles, I hand submit to the top directories (hoping for syndication). I use automated tools to do most of the rest.

Time will tell if I can get on the first page but so far, I've seen a lot of upward movement in the serps so I am pleased with the effectiveness of these efforts so far. I've just been following the advice of other warriors.

I submit the RSS feed from my blog to a bunch of RSS feed syndicators. I generally use WP Robo Feed (http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-steroids.html) so I can then submit RSS feeds from each individual post, as well. Then I submit each article on my blog first to EZA, then eventually to other article directories, and submit their RSS feeds. Next I bookmark everything and start gradually building profile links to everything. After that I'll start building link pyramids, and then repeat all the backlinking on those sites that I did on my own site.

If my site is looking promising at that point, I'll repeat the whole process for each article I put on my site, using one article for each long-tail keyword that I'm targeting.

I have never paid for backlink building. I knwo its a bit time consuming, but its ok with me.
For building backlinks I use these methods:

1- article submission to article directories
    2- social bookmarking my posts
    3- blog commenting
    4- a few link exchanges
5- submit the site to web directories
    6 - RSS submission
    7- web 2.0 properties

Everybody has their own best method, my favorite is article submission. You always get a clean quality one way backlink and there are hunderds of directories out there. Best of luck to you.

      Hi Mike,

You can do it like you say:

      - the old fashion way:

You can find a list of blogs and websites that are related to your niche.

Write down all the contact information. Then send a personalized email to each of the website’s owners. Explain to them that you are a new internet marketer trying to get your website ranked, and they could be a lot of help by simply adding a link to your site from theirs.

A lot of people will say no, but some just might decide to help you out.

      - Outsourcing:

Building quality backlinks can be very time consuming,so you best option could be outsourcing your backlinking.

Keep in mind that it is very important that you CHECK the quality and reputation of the company before you sign up.

There are a lot of untrustworthy companies that will flood your site with shady backlinks which can get your site banned from Google.

Be sure to ask a lot of question to insure that they are a legit company and not just out to get a quick buck.

Another option you have which will give you a lot more quality backlinks without compromising your site is to hire a freelance writer to write guest post for you.

There is evidence that guest post backlinks can be very useful because they appear more natural to Google.

Regard software or programs take a look at this site with tons of software about backlinks:

    Thanks

I personally use the software and manual way...SEO requires a lot of patience with SE's as you may know already. Posting here is just one way of getting quality back-links that i use, but I also reach out to webmasters out there for link exchanging even if they are PR0's that have similar content. No link farm sites...

    Take care,

The best way is to use as many methods as you can.. Blog commenting, article marketing, social bookmarking, etc.

Use white-hat methods to manually create a portion of your links to get some quality and if you use automated systems properly you can get some great benefit from them. Just don't spam them.

A lot depends on the level of competition and potential ROI for how much effort I put in, but in general for each keyword phrase I do the following and which tools I use for each... (In no particular order)

3-tier Link Wheel with at least 1-2 unique articles at each tier (SEO Link Robot)

Forum profile backlinking to each tier and to the main site (Sick Profile Builder)

Submit 5-10 (or more if needed) articles with links pointing to the link wheel properties (Article Marketing Robot)

Some blog commenting (Scrapebox). I use Scrapebox to find the highest PR sites and then do manual commenting. Links are split between link wheel and main site.

Gather and submit the RSS feeds of each site (RSS Bot, SEO Link Robot, Sick)

Create additional RSS feeds of all backlinks created from the forum profiles and blog commenting. Submit these RSS feeds as well (RSS Bot, SEO Linkr Robot, Sick)

Run each backlink and web 2.0 site through SEO Fast Indexer (SEO Link Robot)

      Social bookmark everything (Bookmarking Demon)

Create a YouTube Channel, Facebook Page, and Twitter account. This step is optional and really depends on how big the niche is. For a one-page AdSense site, I'm probably not going to do this. For a local business, I am absolutely doing this.

And then track the rankings of everything. If I'm not #1, I throw in more articles and forum profile backlinks. After a few months, I increase the percentage of backlinks to the main site versus the link wheel whenever creating links.

If I have the time, I do a lot of this myself. If not I outsource it. A lot of the campaigns I like to start myself. Then turn over things to be outsourced.
