    It all depends on how competitive your niche/keyword is. The key to ranking quickly is going to be a mix of superb On-Site SEO with superb Off-Site SEO (backlinking). The On-Site is 15% of the battle IMO.

    There's no such thing as building too many backlinks too fast! It's a myth! It's been busted! Need proof? Utilize the Warrior Forum "Search" function. :p

    All depends on your competition... You could rank high in a couple weeks for some search terms, while you won't break onto page ONE for months with some keywords... Just the nature of the game.

    Low comp = Quick rank
    High comp = Take some time to rank

    I know that's pretty broad, but there's not correct answer.
