I always thought ezinearticle links were PR5 but on market samurai it says PR0, am I being dumb?

It's the page and not the site that counts. When you post a new article, that is a new page with no history and no incoming links. That is why the link is a PR0.

Any articles you submit to EZA start life on PR-0 pages; any backlinks you get from those pages will therefore also be PR-0 until (and if) such a time comes that the PageRank of those pages increases.

Don't be fooled into thinking that just because a site's homepage is PR-5, PR-6 or whatever, that necessarily means all other pages on the site (and all links from those pages) have an equal PR.

PageRank is calculated and assigned on a per-page - not a per-site - basis.

So another dumb and vague question I guess, say I just need a few PR3,4,5 links to get top of google how can I get them like today, (product I am promoting going live tomorrow).

EZA's home page may be PR-5 (I thought 6, actually?) but as is true of any article directory, the work you submit goes on a PR-0 page.

This is why people who rely on "spinning" and "mass directory submission" get so frustrated, because all the backlinks they're getting are non-context-relevant PR-0 backlinks.

I think someone mentioned it, but there are ways to get your actual article page pagerank, I have a few on ezine with a PR2.... you can build links to the actual article. This may also help with promoting the article further and a good chance the article could be higher up in the search engines.

You don't know what the PR of the article is because the toolbar (Public PR/ TBPR) is not updated in real-time.

Get the page listed in the Top Articles or Most Published Articles and it will have some PR, you just don't know what it is. This is why new articles rank really well with few external backlinks on established article directories like EZA, Hubpages, and Squidoo.

if you want PR on your new article page then try to build a quality backlinks to it for 2 months, and PR5 will be yours. kidding, if you do, then you would focus build BL to your money site instead and throw some quality to your EZ article to get your SERPs a bit favors, This is what you will need to do if you want to earn online

There are couple of ways you can do to achieve high page rank for your article, one of the example here is by performing backlinks to your article page. It is important to understand the concept of backinking since this is the foundation for you to get your article rank higher in search engine. If you are competing on a particular keyword term, you need to understand the competition for that particular keyword term. To simplify, I'm going to touch just one aspect of the competition component and that will be the backlinks competition. Since you have MS handy, try to analyze the amount of backlinks (BL) your competitors are having and research deeper to the amount of PRs attached to each link. You can see how many PR 0, PR 1, PR 2, PR 3 and so forth.

I hope you can understand now the mechanics of how each site or page received their PR status from Google is by having external links with various PRs attached to their page.
