  • Do you know what quality the backlinks are?
If they are all low page rank links, then you can outrank him by doing some good on-page SEO, and getting high quality links. Don't underestimate the power of this. It really works.

    • yeah, quality back links is what i'm focusing on with this site. i've got another site i've hammered the links and it got quick ranking and then fell backwards to 21 on yahoo and won't budge.

my business site which has the competitor of 60k plus back links is the one i'm interested in moving up the ranks. a closer look into yahoo site explorer search results shows the competitor has 60k pages and 32k inlinks.

      what do you think?

how do i check the quality of his backlinks?

his domain name is NOT related to the kw phrase.

    • I agree with this statement. The quantity of links are useless without quality. I suggest you to not aim in quantity, aim for quality.

  • If you want to get close to your competitors, you should not be focusing on the quantity of backlinks. Remember, quality is better than quantity.
