Can renaming your website images to keywords improve your SEO?

Just wanted to get the general consensus if renaming all your blog/website images to your specific keyword(s) or LSI & such would actually improve your rankings?

    ABSOLUTELY! Increases organic image search traffic. It can also help you page SERPS too because it is more relevant and contributes to it more.

      This is a way of making your entire page congruent in digital eyes of the search engines.

      It would make sense for your deader to be titled something like:
      keywordphrase-header.jpg

      And your buttons to be:

      keywordphrasepagebutton.jpg

      You don't have to go crazy with it, like if your keyword phrase is 6 words long, you are problaby better off going something like your main keyword.

      You can also name your alt tags in this way as well.

    Yes, then give them alt text with your keywords and a caption with your keywords. This should be in the SEO section though :-/
