I would say that you should gather back links from a variety of sources. But, as for "most powerful" links I would say obtaining links on relevant pages in your niche and with high page rank.

  • Try .edu or .gov links, these usually carry the most juice but are hard to find.

Honestly when it comes to building backlinks I have never had a problem getting links on unrelevent niches/domains that weren't related to my site in any sort of way. Nor was I put in the mythical sandbox or any other version of it.

Get SEOQuake for Firefox and install it. Then do a Google search for any keyword of your choice, whether it is related to your niche or not. Then you are going to find that Google will list high the PR Rank of each page listed in the SERPs. What you are going for is high PR pages themselves and not necessarily the root domain of any one particular url. PM me if you have further questions. Matt Santi

      Hi Matt.

He asked where to get the most powerful back links. Not if he'd have a problem getting back links on non relevant sites/domains. Would you agree that if page rank was equal on two pages, the page that is relevant would provide more power for the back link? Or would you say it doesn't matter?

What I took from your post was that the links would be just as powerful relevant or not. Maybe you can clear that up for me. Thanks.

    Hey

I'd start with some quality articles on ezinearticles.com
    and then goarticles.

If you are going to have a few sites, I'd choose some software, such as linkvana.com or senuke - awesome pieces of software, but you'll need to monetize your sites well to make these work for you.

For a new website, it's best to get a backlinks package that you can build overtime.

I would build like 5 to 10 backlinks a day then after a month, build 20/day...

Just buy a backlinks package to get you started... that is my opinion.

Find high authority websites or blogs in your niche and email the webmaster to see if you can write them a unique and relevant article to be included on their site...with your links in the content of course.

.edu and .gov backlinks are the bomb. I have a thread here for you that you can easily spot them and comment on them.

      - "keyword phrase"+inurl:blog site:.edu
      - "keyword phrase"+inurl:blog site:.gov

If you see one that has a lot of comments then that one accept comment almost immediately and without admin's approval.
