My advice is to get some articles written and get them out to some directories and some web 2.0 properties. This is a quick and easy way to get some good backlinks fast. Also, onlywire is a good way to get some as well.

    Hi rockfuse,

I find that all the advice in here is sound for ranking pages...

Just makes me wonder though that signature line says:

"Learn how to market and seo"

You might want to think about your post specially that you're promoting SEO in your
    signature line.

      LOL, good catch...

You can syndicate the inner page content to article directories using a submission tool...

      You can use blog comments...

      Profile Backlinks...

      All can be automated...

      Or do them manually....

      Have fun!

my blog to learn seo and marketing does not sell any products it just discusses what has worked for me and what I have learned , it is also a blog that someone gave up on that I took over since I enjoyed their writings . I do not sell any seo or marketing products. I do have an informative blog on the subject though.

I know how to get backpages to rank higher through traditional methods and am I always curious on how I can improve this method. There are so many people here with so many ideas so it is beneficial to me to ask on occasion about things I am trying to improve on . I find that the warriors have a lot of great ideas and I am always learning from this great resource.

But, I do appreciate you offering absolutely nothing to the topic of this thread and just trolling. If this what floats your boat more power to you , just do it else where.

Just strengthen your SEO campaign. There are lots of software there, but of course they are also very expensive.

The more information that you share with your viewers the better. Google especially loves to see helpful and factual content on websites. Many website owners get excited about building a website and get wrapped up in the design and layout. They forget the hard part. The hard part to building a website is to get visitors to your website. How do you get visitors to your website, building strong content and applying good Search Engine Optimization.

My advice is you must have a good quality content. You have to focus on this first before you make some steps to rank your site.

Put some great content on your site, then start your backlink building. There are many services here on warriorforum that will build you profile backlinks, social bookmarks, ect. Then hit up odesk.com and get a cheap blog commentor, or high pr backlink builder if you don't know how to do it yourself.

You have 2 options - hire an outsourcers, or learn to do it yourself. Both unfortunately require a bit of dough.

Do these things first before you try to have any page listed:

1- Do your keyword research, what keywords do you want to rank for and are they commercially viable? (in other words, do people intend to buy when they search for those keywords?).

2- Optimize your webpage(s) for those keywords (make sure your keyword is in thetitle, the first <H1> and <H2> tag and that the keyword density of your page content is around 3-5% and that the page is Web 2.0 compliant. Don't forget to include your keywords in the meta data.

3- Write an article around your keyword. Do not copy third party articles as you need unique content to rank high.

4-Spin the article that you just put on your website so you can post it to article directories. If you do not spin it search engines may see it as duplicate content and thats not what we want.

5- Post your article to for example ezinearticles and make sure that your signature at the bottom of your article has a hyperlinked text to your website that includes your
main keyword". For example, "Click here to download my <ebook about golf>"
whereas the text in between <> is the hyperlinked tekst.

This is called off page SEO and it may be more important that on page SEO. An example, do a search on "click here" and you end up at Adobe's website. Not because its on page optimized for that search term, but because its off page optimized. Thousands of websites have this keyword "Click Here" on their pages to point folks to adobe's website to download their reader.

Do this and your changes of ranking high should be good.

This is excellent advice for anyone who wants to rank a website or individual pages. I would just add to this something that another warrior said above - create open link wheels. You may also need to create link wheels to your link wheels depending on how competitive the keyword phrase is.

      • The post regarding keyword research, onpage SEO, keyword density, spinning and so on is for the post part spot on correct, great post.

However, I would like to add something which will help folks.

Those keyword densities will often be way too high for many keyword phrases. 0.5 - 2.0 percent density will work much better for longer tail keywords. It looks way more natural.

I.E..."big blue widgets for sale" will look awfully funny at a 3 - 5 percent density. A 0.5 density with the primary keyword in the phrase title, in h1, maybe in h2 or h3 and adding a lot of related LSI keywords will rank better.

Beginning and end a piece of content with the full long tail is also advised.

I'm not pulling this stuff out of thin air or repeating something I heard, I test and track, and analyze this stuff everyday.

Why do you think EZA won't accept articles with keyword phrases higher than 2 percent density??

        Think about it.

But, you can and should work partial phrases into your content for good onpage SEO -- for example -- use "blue widgets, "big blue widgets", and "widgets for sale"...however, even this, if over done, will hurt your rankings!!

Especially if it's a shorter piece - 300 words. Ouch, thats a lot of blue widgets!

Back in the day you could rank with 8 - 10 percent keyword density, those days are gone.

        Cheers

First write articles related your keyword and submit to EZA and Goarticles. Then do social bookmarking to your web site. After few days, you can continue with link building. In that time, start with 10-20 Profile backlinks and few dofollow blog commenting. Make sure to ping those links by using a software.

    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[3293384].message }}
    • Pinging the links won't work well for profile links. Create RSS feeds and run Scrapebox links at them...or if you're really fancy, post them to an autoblog.

      Cheers,

Write some unique and good quality articles related your niche and post them to good article directory like Goarticles, EzineArticles, etc.

Also create link wheels using web 2.0 properties sites. It works very well.
