Hey guys !!!
I want to learn the use of google alerts can someone plz guide me to it ?
How can i get alerts for different sites and different products like IPAD,IPHONE,HTC and other of the similar kind . As i am a gadget geek and wants to grab the info first from all . . .
Can someone help me in how to use it to get alerts ?

    You need to activate your service through your gmail account and filled the form about the details you want about the product..and that's it..I have also activated this service to find new blogs related to seo, and technology...Results are good..

      Beware the dreaded "information overload", however! You can get too many alerts if you aren't careful. GREAT for checking up on someone who you are watching for some reason, however, or for a niche project. The more popular words like "internet marketing" will drown you, I fear.

        Very Good Point Sue! Don't try to surf before you can swim! Do KEYWORD RESEARCH then set up some keywords... Get a feel for it... I've got about 20 alerts or so setup right now, but I skim through them rather quickly every morning. There's a couple of URLs I keep a look out for... You'll get it.

        This doesn't mean I get 20 Alerts everyday, b/c sometimes there's just nothing that Google has indexed that day! My alerts are set up for super broad terms either, so I get alerts for only what is directly related and pertinent to my keywords.

    You can use Google alert by using your gmail ID.

    Go to your account setting and will find the Google alert service. Just active it and configure as you want.

    I know that what all of you said as i can read the content provided by google .
    What i don't know is , do i have to create alerts for each site differently .
    Like if i want to create alerts for microsoft and apple .

      Then you go to Google Alerts - Monitor the Web for interesting new content and make sure you're signed in and setup an alert for "microsoft" and "apple."
