Indexing problem.

Hello,

I have a problem with Google indexing all my pages. I've created a blog 2 weeks ago (new domain) and my initial plan was to keep it under the radar and not link to it until I get at least 30 strong quality articles.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?) Google found my blog within 3 days after creating it and indexed it immediately, but with only 3 lousy posts in it, and 2 of them were just test posts. Since then, it's been 2 weeks and it's just those 3 posts indexed and it wont index the rest of 20 articles.

So, my question is: could the fact that it was found by the crawler so early and that's what's causing it to not index the rest of it? Or am I just paranoid and have to wait more and build more links?

Note: the googlebot visits the site frequently, about 2-3 times / day... and still no indexing.

  • Any crawler errors in your Webmaster tool account? In any case, one must have big time patience with Google. There are some inconveniences in becoming the #1 Engine in the world, and we all pay for these inconveniences. Its getting worst every month when it comes to getting indexed with Google.

    • You can just keep on posting new articles because if Google founds it unique then yu would have fast indexing for the content and please wait for your other articles to get crawled it is normal and generally happens.

  • Google doesn't always index all the pages immediately. You can add more content and maybe see one page shortly thereafter and then it days or even a week to see the other pages. In some cases, you may not see any for a week or ten days. It just depends.

    Also, when you do see the pages, if you looked at the cached link, a lot of times, you will see it had actually cached long before you saw it indexed.

    Lastly, although this will not help your existing site, if you launch any new sites in the future, and do not want the search engines to index the site immediately, you can use a snippet of code telling the bots not to index. Then when you are ready, you can remove the code, and launch the exact content that you expected others to see.

    • Yeah, but since I didn't do any backlinks I thought google wouldn't find it. Lesson learned, I'll use the no index code snippet, or through robots.txt.
  • Have you manually check site:www.yoursite.com in google? You possibly are there but not showing for relevant terms yet. start some twitter and social bookmarks, even post to your facebook. Social links are huge and will give you the buzz effect in serps.
  • Twitter and identi.ca are the fastest indexing tools today.

    I have a solution for you and anyone else who wants to fix the way backlinks get indexed.
    The point of the backlink is for it to sick for a long time. At least two years of backlinks building... But if you start building them then forgetting about it. That will probably not
    be a good idea.

    Try to run backlinks daily, produce more pinging or bookmarking for each backlink.
