For SEO, Which Do You Suggest : Tool Or Service

Hi Warriors,

I'd like to expand my SEO efforts and am thinking of either purchasing a tool (backlinking etc) or signing up for an SEO service.

Which of the two would you suggest as more productive and which tools or services would you recommend.

Thanks.
#search engine optimization #seo #service #suggest #tool
  • 1) Article Marketing Robot
    2) Build my Rank (possibly)
    3) Articleranks (possibly)

Software: SeNuke (since everyone says its the best, personally its too "clunky" for me)....Seo Link Robot (not tested myself), XGen Seo (slow), Magic Submitter (not tested myself)

Above is based on overall reviews on forums
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Social linking and local targeting are the key players right now depending on your site. If I were to start seo for a new site that is where I would start.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I prefer a tool for creating backlink, if you want to see an instant result, automation is the good one.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Services are easier to use. Tools (software) sometimes hang or just stop for no reason. But that does not mean they are less effective.

For tools I suggest: Market Samurai, Article Marketing Robot and BookmarkingDemon

For services: Article Marketing Automation, Build My Rank and OnlyWire

    • ...for services I would suggest angela's/paul backlinks packets

and since social bookmarking is powerful, nice tools are bookmarking demon and
      social bot.

You can also use ping.fm (free) to syndicate your content to over 30 web 2.0 sites
  • I'd rather not use softwares because they leave footprints in the longer run.
    • [1] reply
    • They do not leave anymore footprints than you would be leaving by doing everything manually.

  • Hi Dele

I suggest you these tools. Yo may buy some based on your requirements

    1. ScrapeBox
    2. Market Samurai
    3. Article Marketing Robot
    4. Bookmarking Daemon

For services, you may find some good outscourers in the warriors for hire section of this forum or anywhere else

  • scrapebox is certainly the way to go in terms of SEO
  • For good results you can use either tools or services.
  • tools is better for me because its support my SEO activities and improves my optimization process.

That completely depends on your budget and available time.
You can outsource a lot of your work to a reasonable and fair
price. Doing it yourself requires a lot time, and trying to do
everything by oneself might be a receipt for disaster.

I definitely recommend outsourcing simple things just
as building backlinks which sucks away a ton of your time.
But that´s just my opinion and process.
  • I use Market Samurai.

I do SEO for my site using free eBook: The Best Free SEO Tips eBook
  • you can buy good quality services at BHW

    • I use similar software tools / services to the other commenters here. The ones they I have found most useful are:

      market samurai
      article marketing automation
      unique article wizard
  • Like many of them who recommended already, Market Samurai is a great software. If you don't buy anything else buy this at-least. (Wow we are doing good word of mouth marketing for MS)
  • It depends with your budget and time. I have seen many good services at Warrior for hire section and fiverr. Additionally you can buy tools like scrapebox, AMR and BD as software. You also can get a xrummer service from a web site like Blastbank or DFB.
  • Bookmarking Demon for social bookmarking.
Article Demon for article spinning and marketing.
    Submit Eaze for directory submissions.
    Market Samurai for keyword research.

None of those are on monthly payment schemes.
  • I fully second GeorgR. with his suggestion of Build My Rank. I'm a paid subscriber of this service and I have only good things to say about it. Should you decide to go for this service you might save some money by signing up through Build My Rank Discount | Build My Rank Discount

I have nothing against SENuke but like Build My Rank, its a monthly fee. I would seriously consider Steve Hawkins' SEO Link Robot over SENuke as it does what SENuke does without the monthly fee. At the moment SEO Link Robot goes for a one time fee of $157 right here on the WSO thread but it too will be a small monthly fee any time. Of course old customers will be grandfathered and the new monthly fees will not apply to them.
  • i dont rely on tools, because i personally feel tools are not as useful as you can do your submissions manually. so i would not suggest you for tools. Second option is better.
    • [1] reply

    • Tools just do the same thing you would be doing manually. It's just faster.
  • if you want to get good and promising results for long time then signing SEO services. if you are using tools then may be your site get banned from search engines.
    • [1] reply
    • Complete BS. Half the "services" out there are just using tools.

If this were true, I'd be using those tools on your websites right now to outrank you.
  • SEO services in the long run are better. You can get very good back links for cheap if you look on the warrior for hire section.
  • i use scrapebox, it's a very useful tools in terms of finding relevant blogs to comment and forum, it also comes with lots of more powerful features.
  • both. both can be good and both can be bad. just depends in your tools or service you pick out.

but... tools still take time. services you just need to lay out some ground work and let them do the lifting.
  • I use both. A good service lets you run things on autopilot, but I also like using tools like article submission software so that I am in control.
I saw a WSO earlier that offers a service of doing all your SEO entirely for you. Backlinks from blogs, article sites, forums etc etc each and every month for a monthly fee.
This sounds pretty cool, but imagine if you build your business on this and then for some reason this service goes under? What would happen to your business.

I'm all for using services, but I also like to do a bit of hands on stuff myself. That way I learn SEO for myself and stay in more control of my rankings.

You´ll have to use at least some kind of support. I personally prefer
doing the links manually, I have assistants doing that stuff partly
    for me..

If you build 100% of your links with automated tool, it´s likely
that you´ll face trouble soon, and might get into Google sandbox,
especially if the tools are mostly just coming from one source,
    and are build TOO FAST.

You´ve to consider that if you do that stuff yourself, it will
cost you the tool + the work you put into it. You only have x amount
of hours available, and probably can´t do everything by yourself.
Outsourcing is the key to leveraging time in a friendly way.

You can still go with some tool, but if - use them light!
    • [1] reply
    • NO NO NO!!! This is wrong.

Yes, if all your links are coming from one place and only one place, that is a problem. However, building your links manually or with an automated tool makes ZERO difference between the two. Google cannot tell the difference if the link was created manually or through automation.

If this was true at all, I would build a hundred thousand links to your webpage right now and get it sandboxed!

  • I always hire services, tools take WAY too long and always have a hueg learning curve. Usually more worth it to just hire people that laready know what theyre doing.
  • For backlinks 100% service. i would never use tool for it. when you use service they will spread the amount of backlinks every week so it don't look bad in googles eyes.
  • for my experience i will suggest you to use natural seo service only
  • I think SEO Service is much better, some tools can reslut some negative effects. Please be cautious.
  • I prefer using both, for profile links i use service. For Article & bookmarking i using tools.
Based on my experience some tool will take time to learn for example bookmarking demon
  • Manual backlink is very effective than auto generated backlink.

If you have time then make it manually. You can also do that by freelancers. You can find them in oDesk, vworker, elane, etc.

If not time then, I like tool than service.

    • Everyone who is saying that tools will hurt your SEO efforts has no idea what they are talkiing about.

It is complete and total misinformation being slung around here. SEO tools simply do the same tasks you would be doing manually, but in a faster more efficient way.

Now if you prefer doing manual link building, that is fine, but please do not fill new marketer's heads with these wrong ideas that using tools is going to hurt their websites.

If there was any truth to that nonsense, I would be building links to your websites right now in a massive scale just to get ranked higher than you. (<--- Do you see how stupid that sounds?)
  • Thank you guys for your suggestions and advice. I sure have learnt a no. of things from them all but still please keep the suggestions coming for the sake of all as i am sure there are still many equally useful suggestions yet to be voiced.

    • I suggest Fiverr once you're proficient in all the aspects you need to be- you can find some good people there (but read reviews, etc. because there are also some shady people- welcome to the internet, I know).
  • I'll second Jim's recommendation of Fiverr. If you're limited financially and do some research you can find some unbelievable value per dollar spent.
  • tool: senuke

    service:Unique Article Wizard

but i recommend outsourcing. you hired someone in odesk to help you build links. it's more controllable.
  • Bookmarking demon will be a good option too, rather than Senuke!
  • Traffic Travis is free and cool.

Micro Nice Finder is a great tool.

However, to decide between a service and a tool you would need to assess your time availability for "doing it yourself" verse financial accessibility to paying for services.

Whatever you do be sure to secure a service that is truly valuable and able to deliver what they claim rather than hype's and false promises that are so prolific within the industry.
  • I suggest you choose a tool rather than a service. I have tried hiring someone before and it does not give instant result. Instant automation from a tool is much preferred.
  • I would prefer a combination of both.
  • I hired an seo company to build backlinks for all my sites and if I have time I will build some links myself too. I also subscribe to Tom's backlink booster service and I upload all these links in and let them get boosted even more.
  • Read a lot of the posts in this thread and I think that the most common sense approach has got to be using a mixture of tools and manual submission. The tools will most likely get you some short term results where as working at it manually and going for the quality over quantity, ie targeting high level backlink sites, is going to pay off in the long run.
  • I actually suggest both. If you go for service, it'll definitely cost you some money. If you go for tools, you'll also spend money but it's a lot cheaper than getting service.
  • if you know how to use the tools effectively then purchase tools. But just a hint that using seo tools is not as easy as it looks. its takes time to learn them. If you want to learn them fast then pay someone who is an expert.

To make your life easier then use a service
  • ....with a few pennies to point out....I agree with revenuebuilder completely. I am using services by those that know what they are doing. The reviews are always helpful and reaching out to those that have responded in the threads to see what their experience has been and how things are going will help you determine what is the best fit for you and what you are trying to accomplish. I am learning, staying focused and putting the pieces together. But, I do know when not to try and reinvent the wheel too...

  • "Tools" out there today are always rather limited, look at SenukeX, Magic Submitter etc. While *in itself* not bad.....they build your links mainly using Web2.0 properties, bookmarking etc.

But this is not enough. Tools are good in combination with other things, like PR blog networks and so fort. I would actually rate tools/software BELOW "services" like blog networks. If i were to only use ONE method (which is dumb of course)..i would use blog networks.

Or you use an "all-in-one" service provider which does all that for you.

The problem with tools like Senuke and SEOLR are that they spam the same kind of web2.0's and fail in filling in profile details and such. This results in web2.0 sites being more alert and removing these new build blogs faster.

Same counts for article marketing robot, the only auto approve article directorys that are left are getting spammed to death with all kind of links (porn/gambling/pharma) causing your links to come from a bad neighbourhood which Google doesn't really like.

Therefore it's important to mix manual linkbuilidng with automated tools. Most people build the links that point directly to there site manually or they use quality article networks like BMR, high PR society, ArticleRanks, SubmitYourArticle and a couple others. Then they use the automated tools to blast these manually made web2.0's and posted articles so that they gain more linkjuice.

At least thats how I get my results, I've done a lot of testing and found out that using these automated tools directly at my moneysites will hardly move them up in the serps.

A great tool I would recommend though is ZennoPoster, you can program it to target sites that hardly any other IM'ers are using.
  • Both SEO software and services are fine. But if you want your rankings to be maintained in the long run, natural SEO services are recommended. You can easily find them here on WF and Fiverr.
  • I would say that you should use both software and services. It is extremely time consuming to build backlinks manually.
