Volume Blogging - Creating 10,000 Words Original in 30 Minutes

I dropped this link on the main forum for someone who is curious about using Speech Recognition Software to create their content. I had forgotten about this post, which has given some IM people a powerful way to create content fast.

So what I did was create a video recording the content into an mini-digital recorder, and ran it through DNS creating a pile of content that is 100% fresh and unique. Then I posted the content that was created, showing how much editing was required. All in a parking lot ;-)

I highly recommend this technique depending on your content, and depending on your accent and diction. I'm a mumbler, but the NEW speech recognition software is VERY accurate now.

Hope it helps some folks with their content challenges.

  • Yeah, the software is SO much better nowadays - I remember using like version 2 or something of Dragon in about 1999 and it was hopeless! Now it's good enough for you to speak quickly enough that actually the bottleneck is no longer how fast you can type but how fast you actually devise content and dictate it in some sort of coherent fashion!

    • Yeah version 2 of DNS was horrible. Wasted big bucks and time on that purchase and project.

I have a cracked version of a later better one that I use (not an easy one to find!), but not sure if I can post the download link...pls advise.

  • Your asking if you can post a link to pirated software?
    • [1] reply
    • Yes. I believe I am talking about "Pirated Software".

But since "ethics" is so very important here on the Internet, I best not post it.

Now how am I going to sleep tonight.
  • I've been using Dragon NS V9 for a couple of years now. Very good product. The key is to dump the crap microphone that comes with it. Go to Nuance and find the best microphones... the ones they have tested. I have a couple. I use a SoundMax Superbeam on the monitor when I don't want to wear a headset. As long as their isn't much ambient noise in the room they work great.

But the real key and it takes a little getting used to is to learn to talk in a way which the software likes. And unlike the example here... don't say UM... everytime your thought process stops. Don't say anything at all.

I bought my copy on sale for $99 plus there was another promo so I don't believe I paid more than about $60 for it. Then I also deducted it as an expense. Very worth buying to get the manuals and instructions.

    • Yes. The training is important, and the more you use it the smarter it gets. It's time well spent, and YES money well spent too, I just wish I had waited for the latest version before I shelled out the bucks.
