Hello folks!

I have a little question about Backlinks.

I read somewhere that you can have backlinks as Forum posts, which I am doing, No Spam, just answering peoples questions and stuff, My question being: if I answer 17 questions on the same blog, will that be 17 backlinks?? I also wanted to know which techniques you think are the best?

  • Technically no. Since theyre all from the same forum, Google might only consider 3 of those relevant and count them as backlinks.

    That's why 10 links from 10 different sites is more valuable than 500 links on a single site, assuming they have equal authority.
  • Internal links are good, but links from external sites are more valuable. Most forums block links for SEO goodness though.
  • I think that Blog and forum both are convinient. But as compare to forum blog are much effective. Do blog for regular work and If you are bored of blog then do forum for some days. I am also doing both for a different time period.

      But I do not spam, I just answer people stuff :S
  • Here you must be tactful while you answer 17 questions in one forums. If you want that back links to be treated in 17 links then you must do deep linking instead of using single page link.

    • Forum links are the owest quality backlinks you can get as they are easy to get, contact sites in your niche and ask them to link to you. You may have to link to them in return though.

  • SEO is a art of promoting your websites.u can get back links from forum.But Don't spam them.And don't use any auto posting tools.

  • Well as much backlinks you create from Hight Site Page Rangs as much your site will grow up in rank at the Search so do some good seo and buy some backlinks..

  • Actually I dont have idea is google account all the backlinks or account one or two from same forum but if you check you back links they will show you all the links coming from same forum,if google did not account your backlinks coming from same forum may be other will do like yahoo or bing

  • Thanks for the explanation Peter01. I was thinking that if I have three links for one forum it will be considered as 3 links. Now I need to take it more carefully.

  • No that is just one backlink....It is never considered as 17 because you are getting 17 links from the same site not the 17 links from 17 different sites.
  • In terms of SEO via Backlinks - it will not show as 17 individual links. But that doesn't mean you are wasting your time. Some forum threads get alot of traffic, and people will see your post, and links and visit them.

    Posting threads with your targeted keyword in them is another way to get traffic.

    Take a thread in the Warrior Forum for example - you may rank for a keyword via a WSO or other post in the Warrior Forum faster than ranking for your own sites, because Warrior Forum carries more backlinks, and more search engine juice than your own stuff.

  • Technically it is not possible and it will consider as a Spam so avoid it.
  • When you just write the text in your post it doesnt mean that your getting backlink but you will backlinks when you will post your link in your post or in your profile or in your signature

      Just came across your thread tonight. You have probably come up with the answer by now, but just in case you haven't, here's my solution to getting 1200 backlinks quickly: Outsource.

      There are quite a few gigs right here on the forum, in the wso section and in the warriors for hire etc. A lot of the service here are top drawer! Also, you should check out fiverr.com for similar services.

  • Internal links are more valuable if you have great content that's all related.

    External links are becoming less valuable as more people build links which doesn't increase the qaulity of your content. The exception is if the links use the correct anchor text and come from high PR sites with related content.

  • The two burning question that I now have that has not been addressed in this thread are:

    1) Do links in my WarriorForum sig give me SEO juice or is it nofollow?
    2) What are the best ways to get link juice from the WarriorForum?

  • you only get one backlink from one URL or domain, so the answer is no, Unless i believe if the site has different subdomains e.g social bookmarking sites, then yes your link might count for each subdomain, still not 100% sure about this though
  • Of Course You will get 17 backlinks because each and every page has a different URL.
  • I believe you will acquire all 17 links, but search engines will typically only give you juice on the one link. The other 16 will count but to a much lesser extent if that makes sense.
  • I think 17 commenting on same blog will not be considered as 17 back links.This is not done by google.

    • Yes 17 comments in same blog is not equal to 17 backlinks, it will result that you are spamming on a blog. But if you do 17 comments in different blogs topic it is considered as 17 backlinks. In short you can do comment once in each topic or category. If you do post a lot in a single category or single topic it returns only 1 backlinks. I hope it helps.

  • I doubt if you can do that. Just make one link in every site. That is the best thing to do. In that way you will not considered as spammer.

  • Don't spam any site. This will count against you with Google. Backlinks are hard to come by. If you have time and want to make a effort. Make quality comments. make sure you have your signature filled out with you link with it. hopefully someone will click on you link to drive them back to your site.

  • From the same page or URL, NO. But from different page/URL, YES. They are viewed as one backlink each. But I won' t settle for a single site or technique for SEO. There are lots of options you can choose from.

    As per me it will not count as the so many backlinks. But it will just one link that is from the one blog. But yes it is the different thing if you get so many click on your link from different person from the same blog then it be consider as the many backlinks.
    And as per me forum is also the best way but the thing is to be continuous in the discussion of the topic and it take more time to show the results but it is for the long time. And blog , articles , videos , social bookmarking , directory submission are the quick and effective methods for the best results.
