Good Afternoon,
I have been working on a website now for a little over a month. It is www.bestbreadmakersreviews.com
I have been:
- adding new content (1 product review per week) - social bookmarking each
-adding 500 word seo optimized articles to ezinearticles and others - social bookmarking each
-social bookmarked my site
-added xml sitemap
-all in one seo plugin-activated
-Pinged site on pingler/pingoat 3 days ago
-10 .edu/ 10 .gov blog comments

Only problem is, according to both rankchecker.net and seo centro it is not in google and not ranked at all. There has to be a very simple thing I missed along the way. any one have suggestions? I've been racking my brains for days now. I feel like my site is really coming together but it is not in google and everyone says it should be (it was indexed by google at the beginning of January)

I don't know what else I can do so I keep asking the warrior forum hoping for an answer

I yanked your keywords off your website, and did a search checking for your website 20 pages deep. No rankings mate, maybe you're doing the google dance?

According to SEO spyglass you have 8 do follow backlinks, I might suggest a nice xrumer blast?

Google Dance is a term that is used to mean the time when a relatively new sites goes up and down in the search engine results and sometimes disappears while Google decides about where your site belongs in realtion to all the other sites.

XRumer is a software that makes forum and other profile links in bulk.

A month is not a long time in the internet game. Come back in 6 months if your traffic has shot up. Continue doing what you are doing. You just need to keep at it and keep expanding the number of links you get coming back to your site. Try and land a good guest post on a blog with more traffic.

You could try submitting your RSS feeds to some aggregators.

It can take a long time for your social bookmarks to get indexed unless you do something to get them indexed and pinged.

4MoreReferrals here on the WF has a system to do that. That could help you out a bit.

Just keep working at adding quality backlinks and adding more content. Do some deeplinking and don't give up.

It doesn't seem like your social bookmarking is paying off because I couldn't find any backlinks from any of those sites - and those links typically show up within a week (at least for me).

Your 10 .edu and 10 .gov blog comments are not showing up as backlinks either.
hmm well i'll keep adding new blog comments then. but IMO that doesn't explain why both sites are saying my site isn't placed on google and the rank is n/a. even if it's dead last it should be placed and have a ranking. right?

I would suggest you put something google related on your site if you can...like adwords or a blog or youtube video. Once you are done doing that, ping your site. That might help. I am not sure however.

Happens to me all the time. Certain sites get ranked right away, others take forever... sometimes never. Really weird. Give it 2 more months, if you're still not anywhere, you might have been flagged as a "thin affiliate".

What keyword are you trying to rank for? You should also be backlinking your product pages too and trying to rank them. See what variation of the product is most searched for, and use that as anchor text.

I do see some of your edu backlinks...

SEO takes time, you probably wont see a real rank (top 50) for this niche for about 2-3 months. You may be ranking on page 65 now . I ran stats on best bread makers and its similar competition wise to sites I have. I have some sites with best*reviews. Also, Google is going to play sadistic games with your site. One day it will rank in the top 5, next day its going to be ranked last.

I think the trick to this game is outsourcing, most of the work is already done, just get backlink builders to spread the links.

i did not know you can backlink your pages as well. how would i go about doing this?

if i were to comment on a .edu blog, would i use the url for one of my product review pages instead of my primary url?

Yes, you would use a product review page instead of the main URL. Also, I have forum accounts for all my products.

Please enable permalinks on your blog too. http://xxx.com/34 is terrible for SEO, google may even ignore it. In the Wordpress control panel, select permalinks on the bottom left, select custom structure and put /%postname%/. Go back and edit your posts and change the permalink to something that is keyword rich. For example /sunbeam-5981. When you make new products, they will be updated automatically.

Also, try to use keywords in your post titles that get maximum search volume. How do you do that? Goto the Google keyword tool, and put in sunbeam 5981(or whatever your product). Select exact matches. Use the keyword that has maximum search volume for your title. Keep it short, otherwise you are diluting your keyword.
          optionally check:
Only show ideas closely related to my search terms

Your title should be: sunbeam 5981 (720 matches)

Nothing else. That is your primary anchor text too. Vary anchor text with the other search terms you find ex: (sunbeam 5981 breadmaker). Your url will be:

          hxxp://www.bestbreadmakersreviews.com/sunbeam-5981

After you make the permalink change. Help make Google's job easier

Dude, you are suffering from "analysis statistics paralysis". It affects newbies and can have serious consequences, even being fatal if left untreated. The cure is to work on new content and/or a new site and not look at statistics more than once/week. I know, I nearly died from it about 5 years ago.

That is true... I almost uninstalled my copy of ranktracker when I launched my first site.

There are a number of factors that result in high google rankings. Keywords for sure are important but traffic also plays a factor. If your website has a lot of traffic it will definitely jump significantly in the rankings. You seem to have done a good job collecting key words, just improve your traffic and I am sure you will get a much higher google rank.
