Do I get Ranked If I forward ?

Hello guys,

I just built up a new website, I made all SEO on page optimization and stuff and I forwarded it with godaddy to my affiliate website.

My question is : Do I get ranked in the same manner as if I would get ranked if I didn't forward my website ? I want to get ranked for the keyword "X" my website is named X dot com and my affiliate has a different name so no connection between them.

I made my website 5 days ago, on a low competition niche but google does not display it yet. I don't know why although I did plenty of backlinks from facebook, yahoo answers, twitter. I think is because of that forwarding.

    The short answer is no, you won't get ranked if you forward your domain to your affiliate. All your promotional effort will be passed to the URL you are forwarding to.

    • Thank you for your quick reply. I cancelled my forwarding and preceded with making my own website and promoting my affiliate products.

      Can someone tell me please if there is anything else that I can do now besides backlinks to get google noticed about the fact that I've done significant changes ?
