So I'm building this website.........

This is not a site to sell products or affiliate, I merely do this because I want to build a long term income not from CPA or selling anything, but to offer something unique to people

so basically I have the content, make a blog with wordpress, install SEO plugin, Google analytic, sitemap, integrated it with Facebook and Twitter, etc....

Now, so I need to try some service like directory submission? I know some people can submit a site to thousand of directory for cheap price, but not sure about the effect.

I have a knowledge with PPC and media buy, but I'm a total noob when it comes ti SEO

So what should I do next? I don't need to sell anything, but I want to build a strong user base to submit content and generate traffic for later use

    If you want to generate traffic and maintain it for the later use then PRESS RELEASE SUBMISSION in SEO can fetch you a good alternative but definitely the submissions should be adhered with good and popular tags.

      He said it! Press releases are a great way to go up the rankings, AND generate traffic. Article marketing, social networking, bookmarking, all great ways!

        In addition to directories, you should also consider social bookmarking, blog commenting, forum profiles, guest blogging, video submission amoung other things.

          Why don't you try keyword submission?? As in you have to target your keyword and just add a string to it and search in Google... Go through all the pages which Google has sorted.. For ex, Trucks for sale + submit url/suggest site/submit site etc, add such strings and find out.. This helps in targeting your keyword...

    Hi ,

    The engines look to discount paid links on their search results. They are spending more time and resources into finding ways to detect these. This includes sending representatives to search conferences and joining link networks so they can see who is involved. I would suggest focus on building links naturally.

    So if you're not selling anything or doing CPA, then how are you gonna monetize this site and/or list, and how far away (in terms of time) are you from monetizing this site?

    If you know PPC, if you have the resources, why not just do that? As you probably already know, PPC is *much* quicker and more targeted than any form of SEO or any other type of submissions.

    (About the only exception is when you're marketing to a market specifically - say publishing an article on a big authority site or blog in your niche.)

    thanks for all of your feedback
    the main point of this web site is that I want to build up a site that only have organic traffic and use that later. Until now, I only build landing page, those are only good for short term CPA income. Now I want to build something bigger and actually bring something to the customers. I look up to websites like lamebook.com, failblog.org, etc and set them as example. Now I come up with an idea to provide a unique content and I want to expand to that area too and I plan to make it become an advertising networks, with many blogs linked together and use that traffic partly for myself and sell it to the others
