I am looking to change my job, and for sure one of the question will be what is your salary expectation ?

What should I tell them , what will be a reasonable salary for Internet Marketing ?

      I would say at around 35-40K/yr full time to start. Depends on your experience. Check the job boards to see what similar positions offer, maybe call some employment agencies.

      It really depends on what you know, and what you can do,

      SEO guys come a dime a dozen,

      SEO Professionals that know what they are doing is allot more rare.


      If your in category A, Find another position.

      if in B the average is $67,000 yearly

    A good friend of mine is a certified Google AdWords expert and runs his own PPC company. He used to charge a client 500 UK POUNDS per month. I developed some software to automate his AdWords campaign management so that he could take on more clients.

    Now he has around 50 clients and charges 1000 per month for each client! His stats warrants the payment. He shows the clients that he can increase thier ROI by at least 200% and he does. That's his skill set!

    So you need to show your skills and show the employer that you can run campaigns, do SEO stuff etc. It's a good idea to have existing websites where you can prove your skills. Show before and after Google analytics.
