Hi all,

Do any of you suggest that it's a good idea for me to place Adsense ads on product review pages on my niche website? Please share your thoughts on this.

Not at all. You should not put Adsense on review pages. Your main objective here is to make money from affiliate products and not adsense.

    I agree.

The people that would have those ads on adwords are probably selling the same product. If its profitable for them to pay per click + google's cost to display those there and make sales then its more profitable for you to promote that product.

Consider tweaking your landing/review page instead to generate more sales.

I believe it is a great idea. the fact that review pages draw information seekers, and adsense delivers content related ads to your site to increase your revenue when engaged by the visitor to your page. Everybody benefits; you, the visitor, google, and the advertiser. It' s a no brainer. Do it!

I agree with the first 2. You want people focused on the product your pushing, not distracted or attracted by ads.

I was thinking that I was going have the ads display on the review pages with no affiliate links at the bottom of the review pages. After reading the review, visitors to the site would have the option of clicking on the Google Adsense ads.

I was thinking that the sales page of the product would have to convert to a sale for me to make any money, if I included an affiliate link, but by having Adsense on the review pages that wouldn't be the case. Let me know what you'll think.

You need to stick to one or the other. Too many options and your $$$ will be diluted. Either an Adsense Site or an Amazon Product Review site - But NOT both. You don't want to give your visitor many options...! Believe it or not! And that's when you'll get the best results.

You could always to around. Add Adsense, but no Aff links, for a month. Add Aff links, but no Adsense, for a month. Stick with the winner!

I understand your concern on not to lose any call to action from the visitors whether they are interested in the products or the adsense ads. The best thing is grouping your products in two categories based on top selling items and less selling items. Now you need to rearrange them in different WebPages, the top selling products page without adsense code and less selling products with adsense code. Here you will have a balanced outcome from both income streams.

If Adsense is going to be more profitable than the affiliate sales, then definitely use them.

In general, I would add Adsense to the top of content pages that are not reviews and links to your reviews in the middle and bottom. This will give you a good idea about whether or not the Adsense ads even payout enough to be worth the potential trade-off of losing a few affiliate sales.

I think it varries from product to product and depending on how your pages are laid out + how profitable your affiliate marketing is for the product.

    1. split test and compare results
    or
if you find the products are not converting well on certain projects and the Adsense CPC looks good then do some ads just not in prime real estate on the page.

It depends. If you think you can generate income from both then shoot for it but personally I would not add adsense on a product review page. Your focus should only be to sell the product.

I will write the review that place Adsense on the review page; and hopefully, all of the ads will match the topic of the review.

If this is the general consensus, I better remove Adsense from my product review pages. Although the pages are converting for amazon, I could probably do even better without the Adsense distraction.
