Can you do too many backlinks a day?

I just set up my first amazon review site, and I wanted to really get my sites keywords moving up the Google ladder and I have been building backlinks by blog commenting and forums. My question is there a limit to the amount of backlinks I can do a day, or if I do too many will it hurt my site since it is only a three weeks old.

    Nope.

You can add as many as you like each day as long as you do it CONSISTENTLY.

If you add 3000 links in one and then never again, that won't work.

It sounds like what you are doing is good. Keep it up!

      Agreed.

Definitely avoid adding tons of backlinks at once, then stopping. Just be consistent and you'll be fine.

My question is, do you have to comment on blogs related to your niche or is it still a useful backlink no matter which blog you comment and leave a backlink on?

Also, do you have to put anchor text when you leave a blog comment or do you just put your website in the Website: box when posting a comment?

find a level you can sustain on a regular basis and looks realistic and stick to it..

Consider this , if you have 15 visitors a day to your site and you get 1000 backlinks a day do you think that would look suspicious to google??

You can never do too many legitimate, natural backlinks. But if you make 1 spammy backlink, then you went over the limit.

I have been doing about 10 to 20 backlinks a day through blog commenting and forums. What is spammy link? so that I don't do any. Still new to this so I want to make sure I do it right. I do all my backlinking myself right now, no tools or outsource yet, still learning.

A spammy backlink is a link to your site that adds no value to the Internet, and is put there for the sole purpose of getting a better google ranking.

You should only link to your site when it provides useful, relevant information to the discussion at hand.

For example, let's say I had a blog on IM. And I had a post that was all about making high quality content for the Internet, the kind that generated links without too much of a push on your end. Now would be a good time for me to link to said post.

Ranking highly in Google should only be a secondary concern; your main focus should be providing your prospective readers and customers with information that is useful and helps them solves their problems. By doing so, you will build up trust with them, and you will have more success with your promotions. In addition, you will find that the Google rankings will take care of themselves. All you have to worry about is optimizing your content for your desired search terms.

Of course, I don't expect anyone here to take my advice seriously. What I'm proposing is considered by many to be the "long and hard way". Most marketers like to follow the "easy path" of creating mini sites that focus purely on ranking highly for certain keywords in Google, and thus making a quick, easy buck.

Be warned though. The quick and easy path leads to the dark side of the Force.

    JK,
I think it isnt a point of "too many a day".

It's how many Google "find in a day" that is relevant.

If they find heaps one day and bugger all the next you are up the creek without a paddle.

    Good luck mate

  • I have been building a tons of back links to my website since the day I put it up. It takes Google forever to find backlinks if you're not on pages with high PR. So it's unlikely you'll ever get any kind of penalty for building links to fast. In my opinion I don't even think it possible to build backlinks to quick.

Don't create 1000 backlinks for a new web site. You must start it from 10 and increase the level.

      This is 100% NOT true.

To answer the OP's question... The answer... Is... NO! Shocking eh?!

You could create 10k in one day (the very first day you bought the domain and created a directory for it on your hosting account) and Google/Yahoo! will probably find 25% of those backlinks over the next 3-weeks.

      If you're lucky!

It probably does... Maybe it doesn't... But it doesn't really matter...

The person who can get 10,000 backlinks indexed in one day is a God among God's!!! I really don't feel like discussing this any further; The "building backlinks too fast myth" has been debunked over and over and over again... Utilize the "Search" feature and you'll quickly discover this too, and I've personally debunked this myth.

If you hit the "sandbox," or whatever you want to call it, for building "too many backlinks" then that means you probably used an automated tool to blast backlinks all over the interweb without any discretion and your link probably stuck on a site marked as malware, hacked, blacklisted, phishing, etc... Yeah. That will get you sandboxed... Having links coming from places like that.

          CHEERS!

Origin of backlinks can't hurt, in the real sense of SEO.

I wish these "natural" and "too many backlinks" myths would get buried in
the mythical sandbox. That's where this garbage needs to go.

There is no man behind the curtain.

But please, if my competition is reading, PLEASE build backlinks slowly,
and please make sure they are only natural, whatever the frick that even
            means.

LMFAO! Maybe I should just tell everyone to build backlinks really slow... So if I ever create a website that competes with theirs, it will be a piece of cake to blow them out of the water (if they even rank in the top ten)!!! LOL!

Although there is no limit to make backlink but too many backlinks mean clear spamming. so avoid it & emphasize on make quality backlinks. 1 quality backlinks is better than 100 spamming backlinks. & also gain backlinks from your site related niche. also emphasize on dofollow backlinks. Dont do anythings thats leed your website to sandbox. Best of luck.

My experience from building to much links are submitting articles to UAW.

I have found out that Google really hates those links and i have experienced this with several of my sites.I have got my sites dissapearing for moths using to much UAW links.

Building to many links wount hurt your site buy the links need to come from the right places.

Have you tried submitting articles thru articlepool.com (500 diectories and $9each)

I stopped using UAW and submitted a cupple of articles thru articlepool and the ranking boosted right away and the article links get indexed within 24 hours.

One of the lesser-used plans to build backlinks to your site consists of the production of reviews on sites like Amazon.com and Epinions. This is a great way to showcase your expertise and get backlinks to your blog. Secondly, a blog product, which is relevant to your site. Production of a blog is easy, you can send the wonderful content and get backlinks from other blogs.

Yes. That can lead your site to a sandbox by google. at least 3 backlinks a day is the way to go for search engines.

If your site is brand new then do not build too many links for your site, it will hurt your site. Lets make a backlinking behavior first like 10 links per day and then gradually increase it. I am doing linkbuilding since a long time and I will not suggest you building too many links in a day. Secondly blog comment pages and forum threads are indexed and cached more rapidly as compare to forum profile links.

So if you are site is brand new and received 10K backlinks within no time then chances of penalty are higher (xrumer example). A sudden backlinking boost is a danger to any site (old/new both).

Yes, please take that advice if you are one of my competitors.

Here's a little secret. One more I'll give away. Many, many, many of
us get sites to #1, and let it sit. And it sits. Right there. #1. We stop
the insanity that goes with idiotic backlinking BS. If we build 1,000
the first week, we don't ever, ever, ever feel the need to keep
      doing a thousand a week.

Competitor tip: If you build 10 links a day, please keep building 10 links
a day to eternity. I would hate to see someone fail because of non-
      consistency in link building.

Many will likely tell you to go slow, and you certainly don't want to appear unnatural to the search engines. But there are ways to build massive backlinks in a hurry without getting in trouble.

For example, now that you have your Amazon review site create a free account on Ezine Articles where you start putting numerous articles. Create a Twitter account that points to Ezine Articles. Now do massive backlinking to your Twitter account and build that community.

As you build your Twitter world the backlink that points to your Ezine Articles location which points to your Amazon review site will start ranking better due to the lower level links. Not only that but you also create a market place where you can promote even more products right on Twitter.

If you choose to use Twitter for this process then be sure to check out this awesome free tool for building a Twitter community. -- Gotwitr.com
