Do any of the Warriors know of a good Windows application that can suck out keywords deep from various data sources (Google, Amazon etc). It would be good if the software could also rate the words in some way too

    • Thanks Ronsang90 much obliged. As you say the parallel ideas aspect is great for tired old minds, late in the day! Its also produces the kind of results I need. At a cost of nearly 100 bucks its kinda outa my budget range.
  • gogle keyword external is also free
    and its good !

    • thanks rikudustyle - Google has always been a good starting place and as you say its FREE! so its a good price. However I have evolved (maybe downward) from this tool and need a piece of kit that will help develop my keyword ideas from may sources.

    • GKT, Market Samurai and a dash of Traffic Travis do it for me.
  • Thanks londonwarrior - got both of em - both are equally good and better than each other in one or two aspects.
  • Thanks JimFromNY - yep Traffic Travis looks good - but 100 bucks is too strong. Google and Samurai are both good. Market Samurai is also quite expensive

    • I use a free version of Traffic Travis and I believe the keyword module of Market Samurai is free. Also, I think they give you a discount if you buy it through the 30 Day Challenge.

  • Market Samurai is awesome, though for some reason it seems to have slowed down lately. (last 3 updates or so)

I've gotten so frustrated with it, haven't used it for weeks now. (trying it again at the moment though)

    Has always been my favorite.
  • Try internet business promoter (IBP) its paid and the best tool .
  • Keyword Sniper Pro 2.0 - Jack just released it, it's amazing.

    • Thank You John Much appreciated. Great software with amazing drill down. I seems to cost 149 bucks, a price I found difficult to find (you have to click buy now to see the price?) Maybe there is a glitch in the page or something.
  • The "Keyword Suggestion Tool" from SEO Book Tools is pretty good. They also offer other free web-based SEO tools, check it out its all free!

    • Thank you deepakseo - yes Keyword Blueprint is solid and gives loads of useful info. See the top of this thread for this info :- Keyword Blueprint is free right now. Google it since I can't remember the url
    • Thanks for those observations GeorgR.You are right of course - many of the stats ARE meaningless but add credence to what basically is a list of loosely associated keywords. Another vote for Keyword Samurai; I see a pattern emerging here.
  • There are many KW tools, reminds me i could compile a list and do some reviews if i am bored. MOST of them are (IMO) not worth a lot.

Best still Market Samurai, and believe it or not, Google keywords tool. Also, dont trust how some keyword tools calculate "worth it" - because some of those assumption are just silly. (Well i use the word "silly" a lot today )

For example, some tools calculate whether a KW is "worth" it simply by how many competing pages are there - NONSENSE.

It means nothing. You can have 20 competing pages and have a hell of a time ranking due to competitor strength - and you could have 2.000.000 competing pages and rank without a problem.

YOU WILL ALWAYS compete against whoever takes the first spots on Google, and it doesnt matter how many "competing pages" are there. Every SEO tool who does such a calculation based on results/competing pages is nonsense.

Best still using MSamurai and then look exactly at the top 10 and see their PR, domain age, backlinks to come to a conclusion whether you can rank or not.

Or simply totally ignore most numbers and ONLY look at how many searches you get. Because it IS possible to rank for everything with good content and "ok" SEO. There is no reason NOT to go for keyword only because some SEO software tells you "Don't do it!!".

Example: Ranking pos #11 for an extremely, extremely competitive keyword now...where ANY KW tool would tell me i would be crazy to even attempt this. But its possible and i did not have to do a LOT AT ALL.
  • market samurai is open daily on my machine and it has mac love too
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I think Internet business promoter (IBP) Is Best Software For Keywords
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Hi Dellingter - I too like IBP for Ethical SEO however I have not been able to generate a single decent word list with it thats any better than the Google Keyword Tool on its own (I have an adwords account). Am I doing something wrong or missing something? I do however think its ideal for multiple clients as it keeps each client's stuff separate and in one place.
