Urgently need to recover SERPs...

You may have seen my earlier posts on this topic but nothing has changed since then and I'm losing money every day this goes on.

Over almost 5 years I achieved Page 1 search results with many top keywords in my niche. Now it seems like it's all been undone with one terrible blunder.

I accidentally uploaded a new index page with "noindex, nofollow" tags. Within a few days traffic tumbled and I caught the error. That was 8 days ago and I immediately corrected it.

Since then I've worked around the clock on backlinking and new content. The page reappeared in the listings a few days ago but way back in the bowels of the search results. All my good SERPS are gone.

Another thing is that the page has gone from PR3 to PR2. I don't really care about page rank but this seems to indicate a penalty. But there is nothing at all in my site to warrant this!

There are two issues here:

1. The consequences of being de-indexed and...
2. The results of a new page replacing the old one.

I have no way of knowing which of these has caused the most damage. But I've changed my pages countless times, sometimes radically, and it has never affected my rankings.

The new page has plenty of keyword-rich content to maintain it's ranking and position. I also added a video, which I thought might get me some bonus points.

I really can't understand why, with the level of technology we have, my page hasn't regained it former positions in just a short time. It's been crawled plenty of times.

I was back to normal in Bing within a couple days, not too sure about Yahoo.

A couple years ago I made a dumb mistake by uploading the wrong page. I had a similar fall in Google but the system had totally reset itself within a couple days of fixing the error.

So far people have advised me to just keep doing what I'm doing and it will recover in time. I suppose that's the best advice but so far the page has seen no movement at all and it this continues much longer my business will be in crisis.

This has taught me to expand my resources so I'm not so dependant on Google but this doesn't help me right now.

Does anyone have any suggestions or have you also been through something like this?

    <style type="text/css">.broken_link, a.broken_link {
    	text-decoration: line-through;
