CHALLENGE for Article Marketers and Those with Duplicate Content Fears
- SEO |
I know from reading this forum that many people consider EzineArticles (EZA) to be an authority website. I don't consider article directories to be authority websites, but I will grant EZA an authority status for this post alone.
What I would like to do is to document "Authority websites" that have some "Duplicate Content" on them.
Don't just say "this site in an authority website, and it might have duplicate content on it".
Let's take a few minutes to prove the facts.
For the sake of evidence-gathering, let's follow a format:
Domain Name - PageRank Niche The URL for at least one page on the site that contains content that we know was published elsewhere. Then use Google to query the "article title" (in quotes), to see how many copies of that "actual" article Google has in its public index. Count a few of the pages that actually have the article on it, rather than just a mention of the title. (In some cases, we may have to Google a sentence in the article to find the exact article.) |
Most of us know it happens, but let us document the evidence.
Rules: * Only document Authority websites as sites with a PR3 or higher. * Do not count article directories as an Authority Website, with the exception of EZA. |
I am going to post this now, and then come back with a few of my own examples.
