    First you have to get indexed by search engines, specially Google. For fast indexing, you can bookmark your blog. If Google has indexed your blog, you can now promote it by submitting to directory submission sites or you can make an article related to your blog and submit it to article submission sites or you can also social bookmark it. For some list, you can get a huge list of submission sites in the net.

    there are a couple of guides I would recommend but I don't want to post the link on the forum.

    You can spend a lot of time in these forums and find what you need in pieces but if you search hard enough there are a couple of solid SEO trainings that don't cost alot that will have it all in one place to knock it out.
