Best way to check backlinks

I'm starting to work on building backlinks to my sites and would like to track my progress.
I've found dozens of backlink checkers online and entered the same URL in each one and every one turned back different results. Is there one tool that is considered the most accurate?

I'd love to know what you use for this? Which site is the best?

  • Why do you want to check your backlinks? Shouldn't you be checking the serps instead?

  • There are lots of sites where you can check your back links. For you to select where that websites. All you have to do is to search it in Google. I am sure you can find.
  • Building back links fast or slow depends on how old your domain is in age.An older domain can handle a lot more back links than a newer one.I think Article submission gives you the best quality links.Social bookmarking and forum postings simply give you the easiest way to get links.
