My sniper site is not working

Okay, so I'm going crazy. If there is anybody in the world that needs to succeed in internet marketing it's me. I kid you not. I will literally be homeless in 3 months if this does not work. I am on an EXTREMELY limited budget to get things going. I already bought the keyword elite 2.0 and I'm disappointed...the "monthly searches" do not show. I contacted them and was told to reinstall (which I did) still not working. Argh. I assure you all of this my story is like no other and I am in an EXTREMELY dire situation here. My site has been up since October, I have been reading my butt off learning everything I can. I have purchased 6 domain names that I now realize will probably not work for what I'm trying to market. I'll need to start over again on that! I know this SEO is not easy but I have been nothing but confused with all the promises out there of "pick me...my method will get you on page 1 of Google" Then there's the money part. Honestly...not to sound pathetic but I'm at my wits end and on the brink of suicide - I know it sounds pathetic but I don't see any light at the end of this tunnel!! I have been trying to teach myself internet marketing by reading everything I can...it's slow going though. All I'm looking for is a source of real SEO & Web Marketing education...seems hard to find!

So I have some questions maybe you guys can answer.
Is there anybody out there who has found the Google Sniper system to actually work? I'm getting the feeling my "dream" is over on that one. The reason is it seems all the Clickbank products that are good ones are impossible to market - all the keywords are taken, too much competition, the web is so saturated with these Clickbank promoters I feel there's no chance. Supposedly the Sniper system is supposed to cure that when done properly...blah, blah, I'm so annoyed with it -
I wonder how many MILLION people are trying to use the same system?
I have the manual, know it and am getting very discouraged. I was hoping to at least get ranked on page 3 max as promised to no avail! I'm on page 25 today, the other day it was page 17, two days before that it was page 30...I didn't change a thing so what's up with that?

My hope is to get that figured out (I actually thought I had it figured out..it's been since October!) I know about backlinks, article submission sites, etc. I've "backlinked" to many of them and also paid someone $5 to backlink me to 70 relevent high ranking sites...to no avail. I just ran a check and every search engine is reporting "0" backlinks. Nice.

Sorry about the complaining but I feel like I'm behind a stone wall I can't break through or even see through! Any advice at all??? you will be saving a life you know. Seriously. Arg. Please help!
Here is my pathetic "google Sniper" site.

florida marriage records info .com

Does anybody have any advice without trying to sell me the moon. Is SEO mostly done by programs? I have no idea. One guy sent me a great link to "the best info" but it was $97! I'm literally broke. Please advise if you have any advice that will help.
Thanks everybody,
Holly

Sorry, but its time to get a job. Your post exposes a lack of experience and a naivete that will prevent you from succeeding now.

I'm not saying give up. I'm saying get a job, pay your bills and keep going at night until you learn more. You're not there yet.

      Holly,

I think the fact that you put so much time and effort into learning is a big positive It sounds like you are making two classic IM mistakes though - information overload and looking for a magic bullet. I'd say the majority of us have done the same thing in the beginning, I know I did.I don't know anything about the Google Sniper system, all I know is it a product.

My advice is to strip everything down in your mind and try and look at the basic principles of site building and internet marketing in general. With a couple of years experience now under my belt I consider them to be as follows, at least for my own approach:-

-Find a product that people are interesting in and are actively searching for
-Do thorough niche and keyword research
-Create a relevant, attractive and informative website to promote your chosen product
-Make sure the onpage SEO is strong
-Add fresh content to your site regularly
-Build quality, varied backlinks to your site regularly

That's pretty much my approach for my niche sites, the majority of my traffic is organic from the search engines. Of course, there are masses of other traffic generating methods out there.

You sound pretty desperate and that can be a good or bad thing. It can be good because you are motivated and eager to learn, but can be bad because you jump from one thing to next, one magic bullet to the next.

You are going to make mistakes, especially in the beginning. As long as you can learn from your mistakes, you should be OK. Again though, I really think you need to declutter your mind and go back to basics with your approach.

Get some money, pay your bills, get secure and then do the online thing. Your not in the right mind set for succeeding online at the moment.

Yeah, I should have said in my post above that you are putting way too much pressure on yourself and trying to make IM your living right now just isn't going to work. It's going to take time. In the meantime, I agree with the others that you should get a regular job.

Yes, I couldn't agree with Danny more. The pressue of doing IM to make money to survive will never work. Do the smart thing and get a normal job. I still have one

What I try to do though is take $100 out of that each month and invest it wisely back into my business. Work on it each day after work and you will eventually get results. This way, there is no pressure to HAVE to make money and you can treat it as a hobby.
I'd also advise that you scrap the sniper system and build a decent site with at least 8-10 pages of quality content.

Then reverse engineer your competition and see where they are getting their backlinks from.

      That's how I do it.

      All the best

Your keyword for your site is not within the Google Sniper parameters for competition. There's 14,400 competing sites. However, it's still not a terribly competitive keyword, so it has potential. Also, the exact search is only 7 per day which will not net much traffic (but the broad is 266) so there's possibly profit potential.

I've built GSniper sites and they take a while to earn. Because your keyword is more competitive than recommended in the course and the exact search volume is not very high, you might try expanding the site for other related profitable keywords, or try something else.

The deal with Sniper sites is you may have to do some backlinking and publish more articles than suggested in the course.

As for bouncing around in the SERPs, that's typical. I have a site (not a sniper site) that bounced from page 1 to 30 for almost 9 months. That's not to say yours will, but it happens.

I use Sniper sites as testing sites. If it the product I promote converts well, then I expand my efforts into the niche. In fact, I created one sniper that did very well and so I went into the niche much more than a mere sniper site.

I'm not saying snipers aren't a good model - it's just not all of them will work, and those that do present bigger opportunities. That said, I now restrict my number of projects because when I focus on a few, the results are much better.

I'm going to add that I'm not a big fan of the sniper copywriting techniques. I don't follow the sniper course by the letter. This may or may not hurt conversions.

Hi Holly, I feel for you.

The good news is this > You have inside you what it takes to change your circumstances.

Look inward and not outward for the solutions that will put you on the right path.

Once you've done that, the best advice I can give you costs nothing but your time, focus and determination to succeed. Its based on the tried and true concept of "keep it simple smarty"

    Sorry to hear that Holly.

Ive been where you are now..and i belive Bruce is on to something here....economic problems are ruining relationships, marriges, lives...you have to change your state of mind..if you go around worrying about..anything really, you will never be in the righ state of mind for that thing you want to achieve.. so lets say you are constantly worrying about your finincial situation, to the degree that you ache in every bone in your body, you will never see financial success..

You really need to get rid of that feeling..and by getting a job..working the hours you need to rid yourself of that emotion is a good way...when you later dont feel the need to worry about it anymore, your ready to start from scratch. Pay attention to "feel the need to"...because your basicly in charge of how you feel, and thus it is ultimately you that are blocking yourself from success.

So what im saying here is : you wont make a dime before your mind is at peace.

Holly - first of all you don't have to spend any money on "tools", you can do it all manually if you are determined (and it's a good thing to start manually to begin with as you learn the basics).

New sites are tough to rank in a short period of time.

What I'd advise you to do is head over to Hubpages.com, and register with them. It's free. Then apply your Google sniper tactics and build hubpages. Hubpages allow you two external links to other sites, so you can put your affiliate links there.

Note that for every five sniper hubs, you should write one long purely informational hub on something that you love (a hobby or something), just so that they don't flag your account as being "overly promotional".

Because hubpages is a high authority domain, you should be able to rank them much easier than ranking your own sites.

So do the following: identify 50 possible keywords, using your sniper method or another method. Then create good quality hubpages for each. Make sure you add a lot of tags to your hub (the tag pages will support your hubs and pass link juice to them).

Then do some backlinking - manually write unique articles for places such as Ezine articles, articles dashboard, article blast and a whole bunch of others, with links pointing to your hubs.

      Keep at it.

You should find that some of the hubs do better than others because the sniper keyword is somehow better (it's hard to tell in advance which are the best keywords, which is why there is so much trial and error in this business).

Hopefully you will have started to make some money from these hubs.

Once you have proof, via hubpages, that a keyword is working, then buy the domain for that keyword, and start putting content up and backlinking it. You can send a link from your established related hub to your new domain.

It's a lot of work - but this stuff always involves a lot of work. Set yourself goals - eg set yourself the goal to identify 50 keywords by the end of this week and get the hubs written by the end of Feb.

Finally, you don't have to target clickbank products. IMO the market for them is small as the general public are still not sold on info products. But you can apply the same principles to selling Amazon products.

      Good luck!

P.S. There are a lot of free resources and training out there, that you can view and apply.

I haven't enough posts to post links, so change teh xx's below to tt's:

        hxxp://challenge.co/training/

It's a whole bunch of videos and covers everything.

I would advise not to buy any domains when doing this (the added expense will just stress you out) - just apply the whole process to hubpages (i.e. make the hubs your money pages). That way it's no big deal if some don't do well, you can just make another (and the one that appears not to be so good may suddenly spring to life months later).

Hubpages also have very friendly forums where you can ask questions (and they have plenty of people there who earn well).

There is a book by a guy named Dal Lamagna called "Raising Eyebrows." Dal was a failed entrepreneur all throughout his 20s.

By the time he was 32 (pretty sure it was 32) he found himself in $150,000 in debt. Yes that is correct. $150,000 from loans for businesses that failed and stuff like that. That was in the 80s I think. So obviously that would be well over 200k in today's money.

I know things feel terrible. I'm not saying things aren't bad for you. Expecting bad things will probably cause you to feel worse.

It's hard to know what tomorrow will bring. Watch the last scene in CAST AWAY with Tom Hanks. He talks about being deserted on that island and losing hope.

Here's part of the quote from that movie.

"One day logic was proven all wrong because the tide lifted, came in, and gave me a sail. And now, here I am. I’m back. In Memphis, talking to you. I have ice in my glass. And I’ve lost her all over again. I’m so sad that I don’t have Kelly. But I’m so grateful that she was with me on that island. And I know what I have to do now. I have to keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?"

Keep breathing. Who knows what the tide will bring in? And some people only look at the seaweed that the tide brings in, and others notice much better things...

Holly did you create a 2nd account? Anyways, for the GSniper method to work, I've found you pretty much have to follow it to the LETTER. No changes, no shortcuts, follow EXACTLY. I've gotten better results doing this, though no where nearly as success as George.

Desperation is never a bad thing... this could be that point in your life when you dig down deep and extract every bit of dormant potential to overcome the obstacles you face. And when you look back 10-20 years from now you will see this point as the point where your life transcended onto a new level.

You seem to need cash quickly. When I first began I was also low on cash and what helped me was freelancing. I got onto a freelance site called Elance, built a profile and offered my services as a writer (I do not even regard myself as a top writer). Before I knew it I built up a relationship with many employers for whom I wrote consistently.

During that time I continued to learn all I could about internet marketing and with the money I earned I paid the bills and I was also able to invest a little in my IM projects.

My advice to you will be to continue on this Internet Marketing journey you are on, but find another stream of income that will help you stay alive and pay the bills. Why not try your hand at freelancing and see where that takes you?

If what you say is all true...

Like many said go get a job... But depending on where you are that may not be as easy as it sounds. No one hires around here where I am. People are desperate, and getting foreclosed on every day. My daughter has probably 12 applications in at some of the most menial jobs there is and can't get hired.

      But if...

      • Your not making any money
      • You have no job
      • Your about to lose your home

Then let's take a look at what you actually know something about.

Your profile says you are a self taught graphic designer?

Do you have examples of your work? Do those examples look professional?

If the answer is yes... it isn't hard to find people that will pay you.

If you don't have a portfolio... Go to fiverr and do some cheap jobs and get some testimonials and a portfolio out of it.

Now you have a skill and a background/portfolio using that skill that is proven.

By the sounds of it your not even close to being ready to be doing affiliate marketing yet. Use the skills you have to make money while you learn the skills you need to make more.

While I don't agree with the George's way of doing keywords... The basic principals of it do work. They are very similar to things we even do just on a much larger scale. But there is a lot of knowledge that GS or any product can't give you that you learn from doing. You don't even realize you are advancing and learning. There really is no such thing as failure... only lessons learned / knowledge gained.

So you need to step back and look at the skill set you have now. Work with it and get some money made.

Also if that picture (avatar) is really you... you are very pretty. You can do all kinds of other things also on fiverr or other places. Review products and do video reviews of them afterwards for a price. Take pictures of yourself holding up signs for this or that great website. Look on fiverr I kid you not... people pay for others to do that.

What he said (and many others). Now is the time to make a living from what you DO know. You cannot hope to learn a complete new set of skills from scratch and make a living from it in such a short space of time, it's one of those unrealistic IM myths.

You could still work online, but marketing your existing skills, and just spend your spare time on the side learning IM skills. A proper IM business should NOT be like a gambling venture...

Gonna keep this short and not going to repeat everything other than stop buying products, you don't need them, you know the basics go out and have a play. Be dedicated but accept that you'll need time to play. Even if you do follow a "system" word for word it might just not work. Try a few different ideas and choose the one that works best for you. If you need help or ideas ask people here instead of looking for answers in people products. Don't give up on the site you have, just keep pushing it. Keep generating those links and also ping the links using something like pingomatic.com , it should help the pages get indexed faster and allow search engines to find backlinks faster too.

If you're a graphic designer you could definitely freelance. Some people right on this site would probably pay for someone to do graphics for them for their websites. Have a look at the buy and sell areas of this site and other e-commerce forums, give it a try. That IMO is a much sturdier way to get started freelancing than google sniper or any one product that you don't know much about.

      Hello Holly,

I am very sorry to hear your plight, but you have to make things happen. You are stuck in a mode that is not conducive to success. You need to let go and just do.

I have built a number of Sniper sites, and most of them have ranked very well in Google without much effort. I actually made one for the release of GS 2.0 and it ranked in the top 4 results within 2 days. It bounces around quite a bit, but it does generate traffic.

Another option that you can look into is placing ads through Craigslist, but you need to be careful and pick a niche that people are looking for a solution to. One way to do that is to look in Yahoo Answers and see what people are looking for answers to. Then find a product that matches what they are looking for, and post a response. It does not always work, but it is a free way of making a couple of sales.

If you are hoping to make thousands of dollars over the next 3 months, it probably won't happen. I don't say that to be rude, but if you are so consumed with fear of losing your home, you need to find a real job and make some stable income before you try to make a sustainable income online. Making money online is not an easy or fast process. No matter what some of these programs "claim", it is never as easy as clicking a couple of buttons and BAM!

Don't give up on your dreams, but keep at them. Take care of your needs in a realistic manner first then work on making your fortune online.

I wish you luck. If you would like some further help, don't hesitate to ask. People here are very helpful and straightforward.

I have to agree with others that have said the best option for you is to get a job and keep working on your site so you don't have the pressure of trying to get the site to earn.

I really can't make a comment on that particular product, but for any type of site or product, it all comes down to traffic.

If you aren't getting enough traffic, you aren't going to make any money.

Personally, as for type of IM site, I think the level of difficulty from easiest to hardest is this:

Adsense/Xfactor type site: I don't mean Xfactor in as in thin content and a butt ugly layout, but finding keywords that get a decent search volume that have advertisers. Once you have your keyword research, it's just a matter of rank + click = $. It almost doesn't even matter what your content is because all you want people to do is click on the ad.

Product Based Affiliate Review Site: Whether you are using Amazon or another affiliate program, I think these are the next easiest. If someone is searching for a product name, obviously they are interested in buying.

There is a little bit more involved in this because you have to be more careful about choosing the product and writing something enticing enough that they at least click through. The good thing about Amazon is that they accept I think pretty much anyone into the affiliate program and even if they don't buy the product that you are promoting, it's likely that they will buy something else and you still get paid. I've earned commission on things I've never even heard of just because they happened to click through from one of my sites.

Info Product Affiliate (Sniper) Sites: This is a step up in difficulty level because you have to be able to assess whether or not a particular product is a good one and whether it is worth your time trying to promote it. You also have to be able to determine which "buyer" keywords are the best to target.

Your Own Info Product: There are a lot of elements that go into making a successful ebook or info product: design, content, list building, copywriting, etc.

But again, regardless of the type of site you promote, it all boils down to traffic, and the key to traffic is content and backlinks.

You don't have nearly enough of either.

The number of competing sites is really irrelevant. What really matters is how tough will it be to beat the sites on page 1, and specifically the #1 result. You push until you get to #1 or don't even start in the game.

People may try to sell you the super-duper-secret-to-instant-traffic. It's a crock.

Yes there are things you can do to fine tune and optimize your site, but that is like the seasoning, the meat and potatoes are the content and backlinks.

    This is what you do:

    1. Go to Onlywire. Create an account on all of the sites it supports. Download the free version of Roboform to speed it up. Install the Onlywire bookmarklet for firefox.

    2. Create an account on Amplify and Clipmarks. Install the bookmarklet for Clipmarks on Firefox.

    3. Open up an Excel worksheet. For each of your profiles on the properties created in steps 1 and 2, enter the profile url and the url for the RSS feed if any.

    4. Go to icerocket and feedagg, submit all of the RSS feeds from steps 1 and 2

    5. Decide which is your target page for "florida marriage records." Beef that article up.

    6. Write a new post on one of the long tail keywords for "florida marriage records" (look at the Google wonder wheel for ideas. Within this post on your site, link back to the target page you identified in step 5 on the anchor text "florida marriage records."

    7. Create an account on Wordpress.com, Blogger, LiveJournal and maybe something like Xanga. Make the subdomain/user name something like "florida records," "marriage records," "florida marriage records." Mix it up, but you get the idea. Put the main urls and the RSS feeds in your Excel file. Go and submit the RSS feeds for them as well.

    8. Take the excerpt from the post you just wrote and post it on each of the four 2.0 properties you created in step 7. At the end of the excerpt, write "Read more about florida marriage records (link back to the main domain/target for that keyword) and X (your long tail keyword linking back to the post you just wrote.)

    9. On each of the posts, the original article, and the excerpt on the four properties, run it through Onlywire with variations of your keywords on the tags. Run it through with your Clipmarks bookmarklet (this will post it on both Amplify and Clipmarks.)

    10. Next, rewrite the article you just wrote. Submit it to Ezinearticles and 9 other top directories. Mix up your author bio box a little on these, maybe change up the anchor text to a variation on two to three.

    11. For each of those article directories, enter your author profile page and author RSS feed (if it has one) in your Excel file. Submit the RSS feeds to the RSS directories in step 4. Run the profiles, as well as the articles once they are published, through Onlywire and Clipmarks.

    12. Register your site at commentluv.com. Go to the search engine, and search for posts on marriage, divorce, florida, government records, public records. Make a comment, a good one, on 10 different posts. Do this every day. In a new worksheet in your Excel file, keep track of these url's. When your comment gets published, take the url on that site and submit it to Pingler, run it through Onlywire. (This is the poor man's indexing system.)

    13. Go back to the 2.0 properties you created in step 7. Write a post on each related to your topic and link back to your site using the anchor text "florida marriage records." Run it through Onlywire and Clipmarks.

    14. Repeat steps 6 - 13. Keep doing it.

If you work on the action plan I laid out consistently for a month, you will start to "get" SEO. You will start to see how your site responds to it and you will be able to make more educated decisions on what products and services are worth it.

Once you get comfortable with that, then you can start reverse engineering the competition's backlink profile and taking them out one by one.

    Holly,

I really can't say anything more than the advice you have received here already.

I hope your situation changes soon. I hate being behind the 8-ball like that.

I agree with everyone here that a 9-5 job is what is needed.

I think that for anybody trying to earn money online, the odds are against them.

Keep learning and eventually, I believe that you will succeed in IM, but, statistically, three months is a very short amount of time to give youself.

This stuff has a HUGE learning curve for almost EVERYBODY.

9-5 all the way...for now...continue learning and it will come with time.

Also, for a piece of practical advice, try writing articles and selling them on Fiverr.

Here's to hoping you succeed and get out of that situation...

    K

    1. use proper formatting... ie

    Code:
If you are searching for Florida Marriage Records online you need to beware of the scam sites out there. I know, I learned the hard way.

For those of you who want a legit, reliable source for Florida marriage or divorce records or any other state then I strongly suggest you go to this site RIGHT HERE.

You will save yourself a whole lot of time and grief.

I highly recommend you get your info here, so check it out and see what they are about...this sitereally does stand behind their claims and I was able to access Florida Marriage Records online in minutes!
put paragraphs in your text, never have a sentence go on for more than 3 lines. it helps readability.

    2. "I learned the hard way"... K, but what did you learn? give them something to relate to.

    3. all your links do not have an underline under them, most ppl are accustomed to blue links with underlines on them cos they know they are links.

    4. dont expose your full affiliate link, use a 301 redirect and have it open up in a new window so ppl can come back to your site and continue reading.

    5. remove this
"If you do sign up have no fear! It has a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied."

you should NOT try and come off like your trying to sell something.

    6. talk to them, dont INSTRUCT them, talk to them like as if you would to a dear friend.

    7. use images, and videos, and turn off any related videos when you embed you tube videos.

    8. start going to devorce forums, mingle, after about a week, put in a signature link in your profile. then watch the traffic come in..

I did that for my forex adsense sites and within a week i was making over 150 a day in adsense

do that for any product you own or affiliate for and watch the sales come in..

    best of luck

@OP Wow, you should never put all your eggs in one basket which you have clearly done. You are gambling your life on a dream but dont have the knowledge or it seems the attitute to do this, or at least to do it over time. I can only say, get a job, get on your feet and pursue this in your own time. I love SEO becuase the goal posts are always moving, which makes it an interesting and dynamic profession. Take a step back, do some sort of breathing excersise and learn how many ways there are to skin a cat.

    Good Luck

There is no such thing as failure. Henry Ford "failed" 7 times before the Ford Motor company. Edison "failed" 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb and made his millions.

Don't give up on the dream. Don't stop moving towards your goal. Get a job to pay your bills but remember what you want out of life.

    That's how I made it...

Google Sniper is an old system that is not very compatible with the latest google updates.
You gotta add fresh unique content to your website at least twice a week, you have to do social bookmarking all the time in order to get quality backlinks.
