Exact matches give you a more reliable indication of how many people are really looking for that keyword.

If say you use broad searches to find a good keyword, you could end up with really large numbers like 60,000 broad searches a month. Then you build a site and try to rank for it, but the amount of people really searching for that may just be less than a hundred per month.

I have just signed up to Market Samurai, and it does look to be a very good tool to use for finding the best keywords.

Exact matches shows the exact searched term. I would like to tell you one thing here "No keyword tool gives you accurate result" not even google keyword tool.. They just give you an indication of monthly searches..

I always prefer to use google keyword tool for my micro niche websites.. That's a great tool indeed and I'm really getting good traffic on my MNS per day with the keywords having around 1000 exact global searches monthly.

If you aim to create micro niche websites then I would recommend you to use micro niche finder. That's another awesome tool for searching very high quality keywords.. I'm personally using google keyword tool with a combination of micro niche finder from past 6 months and got great results so far.
