Having difficulty narrowing down my domain name

I'm not sure how much anyone on here can really help me as I don't want to list the potential domains but perhaps there is a systematic approach to this that you can share with me.

I'm looking at starting a blog type website and have narrowed it down to eight potential domain names however I'm having real difficulty getting that down to the final one.

They're all .com domains (I assume this is preferable over say .net domains?). They all contain the word of the subject the blog will be about. Six of the domains are two words while the other two are three words. The domains range from four to seven syllables with the three word domains both containing six syllables. One of the domains contain the word review and another domain name pluralizes this to reviews - is one better over the other?

Please let me know what other factors I should be thinking about to help me determine which one to pick.

Thanks!

    You are way overthinking this.

Unless you are branding it is not going to matter how many syllables are in your domain name.

Dot coms are preferable mostly becasue people remember most domains that they have read about as ending in dot com. Otherwise there is no effect on rankings that anyone that I have ever heard of has been able to replicate on any consistent basis.

If you pick an exact match domain for the keyword you want to tank for, you may or may not get a little extra boost, depending on your content.

Some of the biggest best ranked sites in the world have names that are either made up or have nothing to do with their content.

    RedEnvelope
    Yahoo
    Amazon
    Google
    BN
    Travelocity
    PriceLine

Just pick one and get to work on it so it will start making money for you.

    JMZ is right.

    Too much thinking.

It's a 30 second decision that will rarely impact the long term. Save the think time and use it to develop the site.
