Ranking for multiple keywords

Greetings everyone. I am hoping some of you can impart some wisdom with ranking multiple related keywords.

I have found several niches that have good related keywords, all of which have TLDs available. So do I make several similar sites, or one site with several dedicated pages to those related words?

How much harder do you find it to rank the TLD vs a page on a related TLD?

i.e keyworda.com vs. keywordb.com/keyworda

Thanks for any experience you have to offer?

If they're related, won't having all the pages on one site instead of several be more effective? I'm not particularly sure about how much harder or easier it is for subpages vs TLD but I don't think that much harder. I'm ranking keywords for my pages and they seem to be keeping up with the home page's keyword as well.

Just make one site and build it up as an authority site. Inner pages can play off the authority of the domain.

Exact Keyword Domains have high chances of getting ranked in short period of time. But if you have an old domain in a specific niche, then www.domain.com/keyword can do the same.
