How does a page that gets rank look like?

I'm not getting love from the search engines.

I figured its my page. Its just a short copy, optin page type with huge sales message on top.

So if not this, what should be my page?

Article? Just a high quality article?

    Do you have any external links pointing to your page? Try creating some free links using squidoo, hub pages, or ezine articles to give your page some love. Also, install the google toolbar to check your PR and ranking.

    What is your website address? When did you begin the website? I agree that Hubpages, Squidoo, and Ezines are helpful methods for getting links back to in your direction. Also, are you using Ping.fm and posting links to your website through this service? Don't forget about various social bookmarking websites, such as Digg.com. Lots of options. You might want to check a few videos on Youtube or do a Google search for other ideas.

      An opt-in page with sales rhetoric on it is not considered a lot of content in Google's eyes.

      What you can do is submit articles about a topic related to the info in your list and then in the resource box encourage people to join that list.
