I just wanted to thank everybody here! I realize not many people here know me but I've been working in the industry coding bits of pieces of PHP/VB code for years. For whatever reason I've never actually done any site starts ups myself and I've always just lurked these forums. I decided to try something different and use my IM knowledge to actually create something of my own.
I decided to start up a review niche site using an exact match keyword domain. I didn't have any domains so I registered a new one, I had heard that this would make it more difficult. This scared me, but many of the warrior's here kept saying not to worry about it and just build back links. This was difficult for me since I've never manually done any link building of my own before.
Well today I had a lot I wanted to accomplish, so I didn't bother to check my webstats (it's been pretty depressing lately) and much to my surprise big G started sending me some traffic and I am ranked #3 on one of my main keywords.
