Just a quick question guys,
Does it matter if I get a PR 9 backlink from blog commenting or from something else, like a profile link?
A backlink is a backlink, right?

Also, what could one PR9 backlink do for my website, anything substancial?

    Hi,
A PR9 backlink will do you a lot of good. Even one high PR backlink is better than none. After you create it, check your page rank in a few days to see if it's improved.

PR9 backlink is very good. 1 PR9 is better than 1+ 0 PR backlinks

You will never have a PR9 backlink from a profile.

    And I doubt very much a PR9 from a blog post/page comment.

    Just saying...

Probably the main domain has the PR9. Not the sub page.
So you won't have pr9 backlink unless it will be on the main page.

But a backlink is a backlink. If you can get some than go and do it

@Mark R Carter - PR doesn't improve or fall in few days. It's updated about every 3 months

the higher the PR link. The better. It is due to the authority that the link has.

Yes, PR 9 link will always have a great effect, but you want to also make sure the following factors,

      1. OBL should not be greater than 20 from that resource page.
      2. Should be a do-follow.

I don't think there is any problem having any backlinks of PR 9 but the question is- how will you get a link from PR 9 by creating profile? It'll be great if you can make backlinks by blog commenting or profile creation on PR 9 sites.

A PR 9 backlink would be amazing, but i doubt it its the ulr PR, where your link is posted.
Anyway the higher the PR the better but to answer your question the best way to backlink is related to your niche (forums, blog, other websites)

I was just wondering whether it matters, however the backlinks I am talking about are from blog commenting.
To be honest, it wasn't to easy getting said backlink, as I hard to work VERY HARD to get it approved (the blog comment).
However, there are websites out there, with a super high PR (PR6-9), which aren't government sites, and they accept comment on a daily basis, all you gotta do it write 200-300 quality words with your link tucked in there, small as possible.
If you write well, they will "usually" let you it, however it can take 30 minutes to an hour to get to the requires quality needed. None the less, it is absolutely worth it from what you guys are saying. I think I'll look for a few others today.

    PR Juice

What people mean when they mention pagerank juice or link juice is the strength of the links targeting a specific page and the external links that are shown on that page and the link strength which is passed to these external sites, this being the link juice or PR juice.

A PR9 backlink would be awesome. The general school of thought is that the higher the PR of the backlink, the more of a lower PR backlink it'd be worth. So for example, a PR3 backlink would effectively have the same effect on your own PR, search engine ranking, etc as XXX PR0 backlinks.

What number 'XXX' is, who knows. But this is what some of the 'experts' say.

That said, what others are saying is also very true - what matters is the PR of the specific page your link is on. And generally speaking, you're not gonna get a PR9 backlink from a forum profile, nor from a blog comment.

The main index domain might be a PR9, but where your backlink is mostly likely will not be. If it's from a blog comment, don't look at the PR of the blog home page - actually click on and open up the actual blog post itself.

So instead of yourblog.com, you wanna see yourblog.com/post12345. Your comment might show up on the former, but it's actually on the latter - and that's where you're getting the PR juice from.

Now, there is some contention that says if the main domain has a high PR, then some of that juice will flow through to the specific page your backlink is on, but how much is anybody's guess.

I sure hope some of that juice flows to the blog section, because I see what you guys mean.
All of this site's pages pages range from a PR6 to a PR9, including where I posted my comment, in the health section.
How can I identify that exact PR of a certain page?

Just make sure you check the PR if its fake or not. There are some fake PR

But if you have a PR 9 backlink then that would be a very good backlink.
