Hi.

I have close to 700 posts but no signature. If I put up a link to one of sites, in terms of SEO how much would it be worth? Would it enough for example to go from PR0 to PR2?

PR doesn't mean the same that it used to and no you wouldn't jump up at all in PR. It might help a little with SERPs if you have a very low competition keyword but thats about it. I'm about to test this out for a low comp keyword as well. High link saturation makes the back links of very little value.

Why are you concerned with the effects on your pr?

yes it will help your site seo but no guarantee you get pr2

No jump in PR, and very little effect on SEO. It's a great way to get new sites indexed, and Terry Kyle advocates a 'signature surge' for getting a site higher on page 1 if it's already on page 1.
