Hey team,

I just searched for my url using market samurai and it says that the header tag doesnt contain my keyword?

Im trying to get it all seo'd so basically i want the title, url, desc, header to have YYYY which should be pink lol

Basically i got 3 out 4 the only one i need is the header tag.

My website is a wordpress theme so if can help me achieve the YYYY it would be really appreciated

Many Thanks in advance

Hmmmmm. Perhaps you need to clarify what you are asking.

    There is no header tag.

There is a <head> section containing meta tags and whatnot.
keywords in meta tags are moot. Description may be used, but
it needs to be accurate or google will ignore it.

There are heading tags, <h1> through <h6> signifying the size
of the text in a heading, <h1> showing more importance as to
what the article or page is about.

<h1> is normally used for the title of an article, and should contain
the keywords of the article for best SEO, but don't go overboard. It's
    not for keyword stuffing.

Let's assume you mean tags and elements in the <head> section,
like <title>. Being lazy, just google it for some good examples, or
go to a webpage you like and look at the source code.

    Hey paul,

Im market samurai it basically has colums with yes or no's or Y N

As i hover over the one that has a N it says....keyword in header tag? whether the word appears in h1, h2 h3 etc tags within the page content.

im assuming it means NO the keyword does not appear in any h1 within the page content, which is presumably what i need to do?

    thanks

i hope it makes a little more sense

    Hey guys

Does the h1 header tag need to be added to the post or to the page of my site.

This is just for seo purposes only, i mean i have a website that has a about page, privacy policy, a contact us and the home page.

Do i add a h1 tag to each page ?

Or do i add it to each post in a page?

    WOW IM CONFUSING MYSELF LOL

    Thanks

If you want to do it going forward you have a couple options

You can add it manually to each post like in this example

or you edit you theme index and single post pages under the appearence menu and edit theme

      and look for something like

      <a href="<?php echo get_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link: <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a>
and add the h1 tags around it

I guess you're driving me nuts by saying header tag. Your original
post talks about title and url as being part of whatever you're asking,
which is even more confusing if you are now talking heading sizes now.

No matter, best thing for you is to use is a plug in, I presume, that
      will do this for you.

An <h1> tag is not a panacea. Bold or strong text does the same thing,
actually. Too many people put too much faith in what is in effect heading
sizes. Sometimes an h1 will be too large and you have to go to an h2.

If you choose to use wordpress, a plug in, or better template/theme may
      be the way to go.

    Hey guys

Im using word press and im using a paid guitar review theme,

Ive added all the recommended plugins ie all in one seo plugin and everything else but like i say when i check my own website for seo competitiveness (if that is a word)
it is saying i need to keywords in the header tags ie h1 h2 etc

Someone just pm me that all i got to do is go to the page click the html tab then at the very top just type <h1>keyword and a bot of text<h1> and that is it sorted?

I dont see how to edit the home page though or the contact page which is basically a plugin as is the privacy page they are just pluggins, do just do the same or not bother?

The other thing is how long will it take to show that the h1 tag does have my keyword in, in terms of seo search using google or market samurai etc?

    Thanks

has anyone figured this out yet? I am having the same problem with Market Samurai now with one of my review websites. Every other one of my review websites has been fine when I run them through market samurai for their keywords but this one seems to be acting up.

When I put my keyword into market samurai and go to the seo competition module, then I add a custom url which is my website and check it to make sure my keyword is in the title, url, description, and head of the website.

I am getting yes's for title, url, and description but no matter what I still get a No for head.

Could this just be an issue with market samurai with this one particular site? I even added my keyword in a big ugly H1 tag right in the middle of the page and market samurai still gave me a No for keyword in Head.

    Anyone else experiencing this?
