Pass Google Sniper 2.0 to a VA to work on the sites?

Hi warriors,

I have an IM friend who has just recently bought Google Sniper 2.0. Being too busy with his day job and learning about other IM stuffs, he thought that he could be better off passing the whole series of Google Sniper 2.0 (videos and PDFs) to a VA, so that the VA can learn everything and implement the work for him on a full time basis.

Not having any outsourcing experience as yet, I am not in a very good position to advise him on whether this is a good option.

Some obvious concerns could be:
1) Will he spend too much on hiring a VA? (I heard that he intends to hire from the Phillipines)

2) Will there be sufficient Return on Investment (ROI) if he really hire a VA to implement the work for him on a full time basis?

My personal opinion is it perhaps could be a good option since he does not have much time. But it also depends on whether the VA is competent enough to create good sites.

3) Will the VA just walk away after receiving all the training materials, and instead do the work and keep the earnings for himself?

Any warriors care to share what will be your insights for such a situation? Also, what will be your advice and suggestion for my friend?

P.S. My friend is not a WF member, and strangely he does not intend to join WF yet.

    - A good quality VA from Philippines would cost him around $350/month

    - It depends on what tasks he tells him to do and what niches he selects.

    3) Will the VA just walk away after receiving all the training materials, and instead do the work and keep the earnings for himself?

    - I have worked with globolstaff (google it) in the past, they are a bit expensive but their VA's wont run away. About keeping the earnings for himself, why would your friend give VA access to payment accounts?

    And yes, if you think the VA is going to make money with the training materials, believe me he wont - sign a NDA or something like that before you start work

    Before your friend can think of getting a VA, the first and foremost thing is that he cannot simply pass on the Google Sniper product to the VA - that would be illegal.

    As far as finding a trustworthy VA goes, I would suggest asking for suggestions for good VAs (LOL).

    Get a contract. Someone who is professional will respect the contract. I am yet to ee someone run away with my ideas so haven't been burnt yet but a contract at least protects you to an extent.

    Besides, you can always use an Escrow service to hold payments to the VA till he completes, say, 25% of the work and so on.

    Spread the work out amongst a few assistants, so they only get a small picture of the system and thus can't walk away and go it themselves.

    -get one to do article writing
    -one to do keyword research
    -one to do some backlinks
    -etc

      Hey Jack

      Thanks for your suggestion.

      He does not earn enough income to be able to employ 3 VAs at one go, so he decided to go for one to handle everything. This might be very tough for the VA though.

      But he is quite a nice guy so I'm sure he won't be too hard on the VA.

        Hey Lester, can you let us know where you ended up acquiring your VA for this? Also how it's going so far, if any progress.

        I was just about to take that step in my model as well, and incorporate some VAs into the mix.

          Hi there!

          Actually I'm not the one who is looking for a VA, my friend is. But I still do not know what is his next step now. He is just pondering and I have decided to come to the forum here to gather some ideas for him.

          As for myself, due to having little time, I thought of asking my currently jobless brother to help me with sniper style sites, subject to his "aaproval". Lol. However, I did not purchase Google Sniper 2.0 and will most likely just give him the fundamental principles to work on.

      This is something That I would say do. Tell him to go through the material, learn it himself

      Then outsource certain jobs to certain VAs. This will keep his cost down, and one person knowing the entire course and walk away with it.

      And it will save a lot of time on training just one VA the entire thing

        One problem I see here is, if he were to have several VAs, it might not be easy to manage the work by each and everyone of them because of the nature of the work they do.

        For example, VA1 do keyword research and builds the website, VA2 write articles and post to directories, social bookmarking, writing press releases, VA3 handles all other backlinking techniques such as uploading videos, social media marketing, etc.

        It could be hard to coordinate the work between them to ensure maximisation of time for all the VAs.

        That is why I have not encouraged him to employ multiple VAs too, coz I really have not much idea how I can manage them if I were in his situation.

        My only concern is whether the VA that he employs will become super shag and jaded because of all the work. Lol

    If he was my friend I'd advise him to find the time to do it himself first.

    You need at least a basic understanding of what you're trying to outsource before you outsource it.

    System and understanding first > Outsourcing and automation second.

      I couldn't agree more. Outsourcing does not eliminate all your work and research in IM, if you don't have at least a basic understanding of the work you're trying to outsource, it'd be like the blind leading the blind - how would you even know if your outsourced worker is doing the work properly?

    Thanks for the responses so far. Keep it going! Any other ideas or suggestions?

    I tend to agree that there is certainly a need to be able to learn about what you want the VA to do first, before you even outsource the work. Like what Paul mentioned, this is to ensure that he knows if the VA is doing the work correctly.

    I think in this aspect, he should have no problem, because he has started IM for an even longer time than me- He started IM in April 2010 while I started in Nov 2010. He already is quite well informed of the various models of IM and affiliate marketing, etc.
