Ive been noticing on my last few sites how easily I get 1st page rankings with Yahoo and Bing. For example my last site im #4 on both Yahoo and Bing for a keyword that gets about 8000 exact monthly searches on Google. Its bringing in some traffic and some decent adsense revenue. Google though doesn't even have me in the top 500 for the keyword. Im starting to think playing the Google game may not be worth my time if I can so easily rank big keywords in yahoo and bing. Anyone else decide to go this way and just worry about those 2?

I think it's only interesting if you have a lot of traffic from Bing and Yahoo.

What do you do to get ranked in Yahoo and Bing? I have never had any luck with them.

    Thanks!

If it's a new site, you've probably been 'sandboxed' by Google . .

Hardcore link building. I build tons of links fast with anchor text for the keywords I want to rank for plus perfect on page SEO. Google is hit or miss with this method because they'll sometimes sandbox the page for awhile because of the quick link building but yahoo and bing seem to fall for it every time. You got to keep up with it till your page settles in.

I'll let you in on a little backlink secret.

Most high PR authority sites that you can get a link on, will get any webpage ranking in the SERPs, it doesn't matter If it's nofollow or not. That & good on-page seo.

I have a site that ranks #2 in G, #2 Yahoo!, and #2 in Bing for a search term that get 1000 exact local monthly searches (according to the Google Adwords Keyword Tool).

Bing + Yahoo! = Google (a little bit more, but you get the picture)

Obviously, these numbers aren't exact, b/c I rank in the top three in all 3 Search Engines for a bunch of different keywords... But it gives you a good idea of Google power!!!

I guess that's still about right... Google eats 60%+ of all searching.

          CHEERS!

I forgot to add. If you do your keyword/competition research as well as On- and Off-Site SEO properly... You should eventually rank well in Google... And vice versa for those that rank on Google but not Bing or Yahoo!

Google like more of spammy keyword density (6-8%). Some say Bing looks at age... That's not true. I dunno WTF Yahoo! is doing!!! LOL! Build like you want to rank in Google and you will rank in the others...

The "sandbox" doesn't exist. If it's a new site, he's just dancing and Google hasn't decide where he belongs yet.
