Google Will Have To Give Rankings Back To Authority Sites!

There is a lot of buzz going on about how google is at war with all these content farms etc etc etc.

But the fact of the matter is the results they have right now is actually far worse than what most of these content farms offered. At least these sites offered content.

What I am seeing now is basically auto blogs and review sites dominating the first page of google. On a variety of keywords.

I won't be surprised if google finally decides to give rankings back to most of these authority sites.

    it wasn't a war on "authority" sites. its a war on content farms. Autoblogs fall into that category too.

      It may not have been meant to affect authority sites but it has and there have been several totally unique content sites affected as well...at least according to rumblings here and on other forums.

      As to the affect on autoblogs or what category they fall into...

      Mine haven't been affected but I don't build crappy/spammy sites so that's probably why. I would say that eventually Google will probably (and hopefully) catch up to the low quality autoblogs that offer no value or at least we can hope they do.

      Maybe not...Demand media made google a lot of money...So did ezinearticles and other content sites which they wiped off from their results. So this won't exactly make the more money.

        Revenue generated by article sites, even EZA, are a drop in the bucket for Google. They could wipe them ALL out and not blink an eye. Google would MUCH rather have searchers click through on sponsored links on the Google results page than on a site like EZA... because then Google gets IT ALL and doesn't have to share a dime.

    My crappy thin sites and autoblogs are getting a huge surge in traffic. SO in a way this has backfired for google

    No one can be sure on what Google will do next. It is a matter of time before we can realize that our sites are already gone in the search engines because they hate your site. Whatever happens people will be following the wave that Google will create.
