How powerful is an exact match domain name?

Ok I'm planning on making a micro niche site, I can get an exact match domain name ending with .net. The keyword is searched for 3600 times a month, the competition is pretty tough from looking at market samurai. There's a lot of domains with page rank 4-5 and some have thousands of backlinks, not all of their page titles are the exact match of the keyword though.

So my question is, is it worth going for this niche or is it too difficult?

Thanks

Looks like the competition is quite tough (with a thousand backlinks and high pr sites). Exact match used to have a slight advantage to get rankings but the latest google update seems to lower it's effect rate (but it's still good to get one).

I would go for it but don't expect to get quick rankings with tough competition. It may take awhile.

you are on the right path . always look for compitition for perticular keyword.

if compitition is much then choose a keyword with less compitition and more then 1000 search results.

make post title, head and url search engine friendly.
