On-Page Seo Question

Hi Guys,

I registered a 4keyword domain a few months back www.kw1-kw2-kw3-kw4.com,m i got it ranked on page 1, #4 i seen absolutely no sales or even clicks at 4 although it was low competition i expected something at least lol

i am dropping the first keyword kw1, and am trying to rank for kw2-kw3-kw4 instead, the way i have optimized my site i have bolded the 4 keywords:

<bold>kw1-kw2-kw3-kw4</bold>

My question is, should i fix the site so only the 3 keywords are optimized? so it would be like this for example:


<bold>kw2-kw3-kw4</bold>

All my on-page optimization focused on the 4 keywords together, or can i stall pretty much be able to rank for the 3 word variation with enough backlinks?

  • no one can give u exact answer of your queries. you need to guess on your own behalf with Global monthly searches, compititors , your recent search ranking and many other factor.

    I'm not asking about searches etc, i'm asking about the on-page side of things but i think i know the answer

  • Well mate I would suggest you better concentrate on those keywords you are trying to rank at a time. If you bold all 4 keywords together the benefit will for sure divided to four of them even if you do separately. It is best to optimizer a page targeting 1 keyword to rank that keyword at best.

    • Agreed Its better to focus on your main keyword to make it more effective and competitive to others.
  • In at least some of the places where you had written " [beginning of sentence] kw1 kw2 kw3 kw4 [end of sentence]" replace it with " [beginning of sentence] kw2 kw3 kw4 [end of sentence]", so basically don't focus on the 4-word keyword. Also when you create backlinks, use only kw 2-4 in your anchor text.
