Hi all,

If implemented properly, how will the use of a link wheel help my Search Engine rankings?

    As in multiple blogs on the relatively same topic, and interlinking them all?

    probably very bad...

    ESPEEECAILLY if they are all on the same hosting account, and even more so if they do not each have dedicated IP's

        Definitely a good thing. They work far better than regular links pointing back to your pages.

    Link wheel is bad if you have same hosting and same ips...specially if you have links on your home page.i have my 25 directory and all have minimum 700 backlinks and i made link wheel each directory have 24 directory links on home page...at the time of page rank google did not give me page rank and the reason i find out i use very badly link wheel...

    Once again, I have to disagree. Manual submission to related sites might give you more direct traffic but makes no difference in your SERPs.

    Link wheels work great because you're using contextual backlinks from pages with content related to your niche. Also, the links in the bottom tiers (which link to the top tiers linking to your money site) will help get your top tier backlinks indexed, which is the only way you're going to get good search engine rankings.

    Link wheels definitely help with SEO. However, not the traditional, old fashioned "wheel" pattern that is very easily detectable.

    You should create link wheels with spokes that are randomly interlinked, so that search engines can't immediately detect the wheel formation. It is also best if you have multiple layers of interlinking (i.e. a spoke outside of a spoke).

    The amount of work it takes to maintain a good link wheel now has put them into the "diminishing returns" file.

    That amount of work is better off being used on other things. New sites, fresh content, new products, etc.

    Google is REALLY putting emphasis on on-site content.
