So what is the best way to get relevant Adsense Ads on my wordpress blog? My sites is about "dating websites".

Are there any tips to get relevant ads targeted towards dating websites like match_ com or and others?

You can use section targeting by placing this code around various sections of your website:

    Code:
    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
    Site Content
    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
It basically tells the adsense bot what content relevant keywords it should be searching for because with some templates and cms systems it has trouble.

So do you mean put the code in a page or post? And also is it OK if the adsense-code is in-between the site content?

That's not a good idea. It may take time, and may never work.

Best thing is the title of your page, articles, etc. The more content,
        the better.

Make sure your urls are canonical.

It's also about targeted traffic. Over time, as your traffic improves,
your ads will be better targeted. You may want to turn off
        interest based ads as well.

You can also use the competitive ad filter to get rid of some pesky
sites, but many times worse ones appear in there place.

Remember, visitors may not see the same ads you do.

It is also wise to use all 3 ad blocks. Maybe the "best" looking
        ad is on the bottom.

Google is in this to help you make money. And them money. They
don't make it by voodoo, they use time-tested algorithms to place
ads on your site. Give them a chance to do this job better.

Like Paul said the best way to get targeted Adsense Ads is to make sure your page title includes whatever keyword your targeting, which it should anyways regardless If your running Adsense or not.

Excuse me ? was you referring to the recommended ( By Google ) stance on section targetting as being not worth doing ? its designed by google to tell the adsense ads what type of content you are displaying. Its designed for those CMS's and templates which are poorly coded or have a greater code over content ratio causing the adsense bot to find it hard to find the relavent sections/content to display ads.

I believe the OP was asking because his current site is displaying ads which are not relavent to his niche is that correct ? If so then the section targetting is worth a shot. As you said paul google is there to help you make and them make money , hence the reason of creating the section targeting

Google recommends a lot of things. "Recommends" is a loose
word. Section targeting is an iffy proposition. It takes time.
And by what it is for, it makes me wonder what kind of other
junk people have on their site. My site is full of content and
keywords, and references to it. Section targeting is dead issue.

They also tell you to be sure and turn on image ads and interest
based ads. Not a good idea. They want to help you make money,
but always want to make themselves money first.

I don't think google recommends section targeting.

I guess you forgot this line:
In addition, because we want to make sure your ads are as effective as possible, our technology detects whether section targeting will improve your results and implements automatically only if you will earn more revenue.
It's a non-issue. They do it for you if they think it will help.
          Remember what I said above:

Google is in this to help you make money. And them money. They
don't make it by voodoo, they use time-tested algorithms to place
ads on your site. Give them a chance to do this job better.
One of the best things you can do is add an adequate amount of
content. Section targeting may be looked upon as shmoozing, and
          ignored anyway.

I wasnt debating what you said about content is wrong ,however throwing section targeting out of the window just because "you" have plenty of content and "you" dont want to give it a go is pretty narrow minded.

For example most dating sites have very little content , same as facebooks type of script its very hard for the adsense bot to pull anything from that kind of script , section targeting is just an aid "that might help" , i believe thats what vbseo also has a feature for adsense targeting and it does improve relevance and revenue because of that feature.

I was no way slating that content and titles etc wasnt the best way, i was just saying that always inst an option for some people niche and therefore other methods could be tried

Hi Topper, there are some good responses above, but I'm not sure I fully understand the point of your question.

Are you asking this as a general question for future reference or do you have a problem with this currently on a live site? If the latter, perhaps you can share a bit more about your content, theme, page title, etc and we can offer some more specific suggestions.

As Yukon, Paul and others have stated, the relevancy of ads is dependent on many factors, including:

    1) Page/Post title
    2) The contextual analysis of your content
    3) Content-to-markup ratio (theme dependent)
