Are you using the google keyword tool? Does it say 9900 searches for exact? or for broad searches? That could make a big difference in your traffic.

That's the problem. Google broad search isn't accurate as it encompasses all searches that include that particular keyword term.

Try doing the same search, except with [exact] selected. This will give you a better search count.

Google's External Keyword Tool can be slightly confusing when you first use it. Takes a while to figure it out.

Ok maybe I didnt understand you right.

But if you type the name of your website on the google search engine it will show up number 1 on google. You are searching for the name of your website on the search engine. That is probably why you are having few visits to your site.

That is the only explanation I can think of.

Now if someone types the certain keyword for your niche on the google search engine, and if your site comes on number 1 spot for Google. And your still not getting any traffic then I do not know that reason.

-------Google has changed its algorithms. so some pages that were ranked number 1 may now be ranked lower

I understant that, but this case I searching on google by my keyword that I use and my site appear #1 page on google , not by url or domain.
by the way 2 kewords so far on #1 page.

      thank

You are spot #7 for a keyword that gets 800 searches a month.

It depends on your niche.. but..

      400
      150
      100
      50
      40
      30
.... some where down here you will be getting about 1 click a day on your site.

800 searches per month is very low competition...

For something that gets that low amount of searches, being #1 is your primary goal.

Maybe your page title / description is less inviting than all other listings on the page.

Just because you reach page one does not mean that people are going to want to click your link.

Well said !!! Many people because your on Page 1 of Google, you are going to be bombarded with leads and sales. Remember you are competing with Google Adwords, who have 3 lines to write better copy than your Title and Description like TPW said. Even when they land on your page, is it set up for Lead Gen and Sales?

Here's some more food for thought...

This may or may not apply to your situation...

Google will serve up 'Personalized' results that show webpages you have previously visited (like your own site) that can skew your perceived results.

Make sure you are not seeing your keyword rank on your browser only.

Have a friend of yours who has never visited your site check that keyword for you and see if their results match yours.

    NUMBERS!

Here i want to give you some food for thought:

    * 6000 local/search per month means 200 searches per DAY.
    * The #1 ranked site in Google gets about 40% clicks of the 200 searches.
Means 80 POTENTIAL Clicks to your site *if you are indeed #1* in Google.

if you are not #1 you get significantly less traffic and clicks, #2 already way less, #3 only a tiny fraction. The rest you can already forget.

This is the reason you need good, high search volume keywords (i am talking MANY HUNDREDS, if not thousands) per day.

And in the above i did not even factor in conversion rates. 80 clicks could yield 1 sales a day..that is, if you are #1. 2 sales/day if your site converts extremely well... 0 if your site is average or products simply converts badly.

Think about it... 6000/month sounds high...but it is NOT in terms of real traffic and sales.

That what I thought, and instead of 40 I was guess it 60 % regarding keyword search a day is 1000 search is not easy to fight, what i did is fight more less than but targetting many keyword will equal the same and hope better result.
      hope you get it.

I Hope my site will getting better when they getting Olds

I hope I am right... the niche that I pick up ( good niche ) many people search for this by checking google tool when they tell me exact searching on this years 2011 (90 days). It doesnt matter for me if that niche not the best , it matter for me I can get first google and the rest i can improve and look for better niche with my simple technique.

Excellent point and a great reminder to be sure to write great copy for your meta description too! That's easy to forget... I think I'm goingto go back and ramp up the descriptions of my own sites!

Too true. Happened to me too.

And there's another one: it's also easy to get fooled with their new "today" results. I.e., if you set up a page and get it indexed, and then check for its ranking, it may well show up right at the top -- today. In the Google listings of today's new sites, or something like that. But if you check the general listings, it won't be anywhere near the top.

So many variables to watch out for...
