I am agreed with Jack. Scrapebox is very effective tool. It will save your valuable time and your work will be more easier. It is really very good.

it is a really good software but you have to be very careful, you will fell tempt it to spam and them your site will get banned or in the akismet black list...
If you use it to scrape high page rank blogs and do a manually(relevant) coments then it can be very powerful. You can use it to scrape high pr forums and so many other things too. You have to take the time to learn how to use it properly. Please do not forget that you have to have a variety of diferent kind of links pointing to your site so scrapebox will not give you all of them. So it has to fit your backlink strategy.

Yeah or first learn Scrapebox yourself, then hire someone who you teach Scrapebox..now that's even better then outsource your link building the standard way.

I used Scrapebox on a daily basis. It's like having 100 tools in 1. Even if you *never* use it to post comments it is well worth the price.

I love ScrapeBox, but don't buy it unless you're already semi-knowledgeable about SEO. It's a terrible purchase for a newbie that hasn't made a single cent, IMO. It's best used as a tool to speed up and accomplish certain tasks. If you think you're going to buy it and instantly get a million backlinks you're more likely to plummet your site into the depths of oblivion in the SERPS.

It would be kind of like buying a bunch of surgeon's tools when you first start medical school and trying to operate on someone.

After Google's update last February 2011, I don't think you should consider automatic software like scrapebox. Google is serious in winning the battle against spammers. I have tried scrapebox once by doing comments. Guess what? It is creating comments even on porn and gambling sites which can hurt your site's PR.

Manual and natural will always be the best tool.

I would like to get a software to assist me in my search engine optimization efforts. Recently I read up about scrapebox and the reviews were usually good, although some search engine Nazis didn't like it that much and blog owners suspected it was being used for spam them. So I wonder how one uses this software properly and with benefits for search engine optimization. What are the capabilities and what procedures can one run to use them for optimum benefits? Can I use it for blog comments only or for getting backlinks on directories, SB, forums and other sites as well?

Buy it! But you need the correct knowledge to get good result. Otherwise you tell it as BS.

Why are people thinking Scrapebox as a "spam" tool for commenting on blogs etc at first sight? That's totally not what Scrapebox was designed to do right from the start... if you view it as just a "spam" tool then of course it would be worthless, but it can do so much more than just auto-commenting on blogs.

On a serious note, Scrapebox is REALLY powerful if you know how to use it. All the people that are hating on it are the people that probably just use it to harvest and spam. Using it that way is worthless.

Pick up a copy and invest like $40 or so in some of the tutorials floatin around and you'll make your money back 100 fold easy.

It brings nothing to my site but spam.

Besides commenting, it can scrape email addresses from pages, scrape all sorts of things from Google, Yahoo, Bing and OAL. If you are looking for facebook ID, it can scrape that too if I read that right.
Not only can it comment but it can also post trackbacks, trackbacks are very underestimated by the SB userbase.
You can scrape site maps, whois information, expiring domains, check backlinks, index links fast by RSS submission, check for nofollow, scrape alexa rank and PR from a list of urls, scrape Google images by keyword, check for fake PR, scan ports, outbound link checker and scraper, hell you can play chess and listen to music with it too.
$57 for ScrapeBox is like paying $57 for a full HD 3D flatscreen.

I am sure I forgot a couple of things like pinging to get viewcounts of your Fiverr account up, checking for backlinks to your site on a list of urls and some more but I think I covered the most options.

You can use that on any web property that allows proxies to increase their view counts.
It won't work on YT or Ezine anymore.

As Google now only gives SERP bonuses to links from pages that are contextually related to your niche, automated blog commenting has officially become a total waste of time in SEO--unless you can do tens of thousands a day, which SB isn't really capable of for 90% of people's setups.

That said SB is a hugely useful piece of software for scraping backlinks, scraping search engine results, and promoting products with contextual blog commenting (considered by many to be white hat SEO.)

It's not called the "swiss army knife of SEO" for no reason. SB is highly versatile, just don't think you're going to get SERPs with blog commenting alone.

I think nothing is worth more than the Scrapebox.The advanced use of scrapebox is not as simple as many threads state here. The scrapebox has too many and excellent features. Of course it takes time to do everything but depends also on the effort you put on it. It has a lot of benefits as far as SEO is concerned.

Senuke is more powerful than Scrapebox, but it's too expensive, and you'd better run it on a VPS.

Just for the scraping feature alone it is worth 100 times the price. Once you have SB, you never need to purchase a backlink list again. You are free to create your own strategy and control how you link your site. Then add in the posting, rapid indexer, rankchecker, index checker and do-follow checker and it just incredible. I dont know how I ever lived without it.

Scrapebox is an excellent program BUT it won't get your website to #1 in Google alone. I have it and have used it for over 1 year. A few of my websites have over 10,000 links but don't rank well at all. Blog comments on spammed blogs have little link juice.

Here's the bottom line for success....the easy way won't cut it.

Scrape Box is really worst in front of manual work. It will not leave longer Duration !! It makes Dead the Website dead in next few months. So never go for it. Always Prefer for Manual even they are costlier..........
